Big Bang Theory 12/15: The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis

A few weeks ago Sheldon went to a scifi convention dressed as Mr. Spack (and Jim Parsons did an excellent 10 second scene). I image Penny would have seen him and remembered. If I were casting a younger Spock, Parsons would definitely be on the short list.

Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins!

CBS has finally started putting full episodes of some shows online, but not BBT yet. Find - IMDb

I, on the other hand, will have Google called up within five minutes of getting in my front door tonight. I’ve had a crush on Galecki since he was on Rosanne.

This was my favorite episode so far! A lot of good laughs and some genuine sweetness. I like Penny, she seems to have a good heart (and of course is cute as heck.) Too many good lines to quote, but one of my favorites was: And that Charlie Brown is what boredom is all about.

I’m from Los Angeles. I have no idea what Leonard Nimoy looks like. William Shatner, yes but any other Star Trek guy, no.

My favorite ever quote about Sheldon is that “he’s one lab accident away from being the world’s greatest supervillain”.

Penny’s already been established to have a lot of pop-culture knowledge (the Physics Bowl episode), so it’s highly unlikely she wouldn’t know who Leonard Nimoy is. Plus, as mentioned, if she didn’t one of the other waitresses could have told her because I can’t imagine Nimoy could go to any remotely successful restaurant anywhere in L.A. without being recognized. Of course this is basically like the group debating the physics and laundry of Superman.

An interesting episode might be if Nimoy returns and asks for Penny for a date. (Sure he’s old enough to be her grandfather, but he’d be a very rich and famous grandfather and so there’s a good chance she’d go) or he could ask her to model nude for a photography book. OR, since Nimoy is married IRL, he could ask Sheldon’s mom to model nude for a photography book. Either way Sheldon’s reaction would have to be incredible.

For your future reference, this is what Nimoy looks like. He’s in the black coat and white pants.

Wow he sings a song about Bilbo? Thanks for the link

shrug It was the 60s. Shatner was singing psychedelic Beatles tunes.

I think that is the perfect summary of Sheldon. I love this show more every week; I think the Straight Dope should adopt it as our Official Sit-Com.

Speaking of gorgeous Johnny Galecki, Oh my. {Fans self.} Michael Trucco is a good-lookin’ dude, too, but Johnny apparently smolders.

First heard of the song on Letterman, had the CD for about a decade now, today is the first time I ever saw that video, though I did know it existed.

Claws eyes out

Ahhh, that’s better.
