Maybe someone leans against the elevator button, and it opens as if nothing was ever wrong wit it. The landlord had the elevator fixed, but just didn’t take down the Out of Order tape.
That wouldn’t work. Just about every season they show someone climbing down the elevator shaft or something similar. It would have to be fixed right at the end.
After 12 years, they all had to be thinking about doing something different…
Johnny Galecki already has experience quitting a successful show that is still getting viewers, and decided to go out before it totally fizzled, taking some time off, and then finding another show. He can do it again. And I’m sure he knows that.
Leonard ended up being a lot like David in that he was the support for all the craziness swirling around him, and while he had a lot of insecurities (WAY lot), he really had a more realistic perspective on the people in his life than anyone else did.
I think the idea of the elevator getting fixed at the eleventh hour is great.
I really hope Stuart ends up with the comic book store girl. That is just too perfect.
Raj will end up with someone. Missy would be funny. And Raj would make a great stepdad. Maybe he’ll finally get out from under his debts, and find out that his salary can actually cover a realistic set of expenses.
I predict some kind of comedy of errors on the final episode, where Penny and Amy are both pregnant, and both trying to keep it secret, because Leonard and Sheldon are away at some conference, and they each want to tell their husband first. Someone (probably Raj, because he’s nosy) finds evidence that one of them is pregnant, and the gang tries to figure out which one. They both deny it. Then in the end, we find out it’s both. Leonard repeats what he said on the first episode, but this time, to Penny: “Our babies will be smart and beautiful.” Curtain.
For the tag, Sheldon and Leonard are moving the furniture, and the elevator is fixed.
I think I first noticed her when she was on Cybill. When I first saw her on TBBT I recognized her as someone I had seen regularly before. While she might be currently best known for this, she was hardly an unknown before.
This is the part I take exception with. I have grown to loathe Raj over 12 years and at this point want him to die alone, eaten by his pets, who don’t love him either.
Maybe we can have a flash-forward where we discover that Leonard and Penny’s children have their father’s looks and their mother’s brains. Sheldon and Amy’s kids should all be jocks or stoner burn-outs. Only Howard and Bernie’s kids turn out reasonably normal and sane.
**DUH! ** :smack: How could I forget her?!?
We park our cars in the same garage!
It wouldn’t surprise me, he was terrific in “Florence Foster Jenkins”. He’s a very talented musician. If you look at his resume of IMDb, he’s been in a lot of other things while doing “big bang”.
I think they’ll all go on to have good careers. It isn’t easy to “do comedy”, they are all talented.
I’d like** Leonard** to get a Nobel Prize. He’d be thinking that his mum would finally have to give him some approval, but no… Poor guy.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. That guy’s got so many talents.
Sheldon and Leonard are both up for Nobels… and it goes to Leonard.
and Sheldon doesn’t care, because he’s elected to be a stay-at-home-dad and look after Shamy’s baby, and do the excellent job that his mother did with him.
EDIT: I’d also like to see Johnny Galecki in other roles. He’s really very good.
The finale for the family sitcom The Middle had everyone getting a happy ending. It was good.
Spoilers in this thread.

Wonder how many loose ends that they will tie up:
Long time it was promised that we would learn Penny’s last name, errr OK, make that maiden name. (My guess continues to be Penny R. Cade)
Every season, it seems we get an episode that references Howard’s father. Will that be resolved?
I am sure there are other similar things.
Oh, I have another. Stuart, with his training at the art school, writes a comic book that Steven Spielberg wants to make into a movie, so he gets a buttload of money. Bonus points maybe if Penny stars in it.
Something like this always seemed promising. But instead of Spielberg it would be a SyFy channel type thing. Enough to get Penny* more fame than the ape movies.
It always seemed a shame that they tore Stuart down so completely. He had enough going on to get two dates with Penny. He got to at least 1st base.
- Some Doper long ago suggested a full name of “Penny Penny Penny” which I like. That means that Sheldon when knocking on her door was merely saying her full name.
I’m thinking more second, on his way to third. This is Penny we’re talking about. And Stuart mentioned that in the middle of things Penny called out Leonard’s name. As “experienced” as Penny is in the lists de amour, she wouldn’t make a mistake like that if all they were doing was swapping spit.
Yes, success for Stuart. That poor guy deserves some good news. (Although his comic book store has become successful, so that’s something.)
I wonder if they’ll bring in Leonard’s more successful siblings. They’ll have to come to Leonard’s Nobel Prize ceremony and have their noses rubbed in it, won’t they?
I’ve always thought Penny should have a bland, vanilla name that no one ever thought twice about, until they looked more closely at her family tree.
Something like Davis.
Serial Apist 3: Gorilla My Dreams
Penny’s MAIDEN name? She hasn’t been a “maiden” for quite a long time.
She once said her mother called her father “Bob,” but everyone calls him Wyatt. Leonard called him “Sir” until he (Bob) said “Oh, you can call me Wyatt.”
I think her given family name is Wyatt.
