Bye, Steven. sigh Of course the least stereotypical gay man that’s ever been on this show (and the best-looking, at that) leaves in the second week. I loved his final words speech…“Suck it, bitches!” That whole thing sounded like a long string of inside jokes. Cool.
Jessie proves himself a toolier tool every episode. More egotistical, too. “Goodbye, Steven. You’re so lucky to have known me.” His family’s delusional, also. The “pervasive goodness” in his soul? Really? Are you serious? There’s no fantasy like mom-fantasy, I guess. Jessie has small man’s syndrome, apparently. The minute his dad said he was a runt all his life, I immediately understood the weight-lifting, the ego, the demand for respect (imagining that he “earned” that respect with his muscles, apparently). I am really coming to despise Jessie.
Michelle would make a great Majenta. Seriously.
I like Angie. I like Memphis. I hate Jessie. I’m neutral on Michelle, but she’s falling into the dislike column. That alliance needs breaking.
Keesha, Keesha, Keesha…whatcha gonna do, girl? Put up two people from the Gang of Four? Backdoor Libra (oh, the drama that would cause!)? Two interesting things from the end of the HoH competition:
Keesha obviously didn’t want to win this. I think she was trying to throw it but randomly picked the right answer at the end instead.
Libra’s reaction was…interesting. When Julie announced that Keesha had won, Libra had an immediate disgust/anger reaction, then after about 1/2 second, her whole reaction shifted to joy. Was she faking the joy, realizing that Keesha was wavering in her loyalty to their alliance? Did she only belatedly realize that while she didn’t win, one of her ostensible allies did and the joy was genuine, if late?
When Steven began to cry during the goodbyes, I almost lost it myself. God, I wanted to hug him and comfort him…he’s just so adorable and soft-spoken and kind and…just NICE. So unlike most Big Brother houseguests, lately. I’m going to miss him in the house.
Jessie’s goodbye speech to Steven was the most egotistical thing I’ve ever heard. As usual, it was all about HIM. Ugh. He is so disgusting.
I really hope Keesha does something interesting this week. I think the reason Libra looked pissed when Keesha won HOH was because she was thinking, “Oh, shit … maybe I shouldn’t have bashed her so hard behind her back!” What I think should happen is that everyone should convince Libra to go up as a pawn next to, say, Dan. In reality, Dan is the pawn and the plan is to get Libra out. If she thinks she’s a pawn, nobody will have to listen to her constant bitching about being on the block. I think they’ll all be in agreement about wanting to get her out before sequester. At this point I think even April is tiring of her.
I really agree that Jessie is very dislikeable. His comment to Steven that he didn’t come up to his room as “disrespectful” and his maturity when it came to dealing with Remmy showed a bad side of him.
I read through the live feed recaps from last night.
Renny was trying to convince Keesha to Libra/April up. Keesha said that is what Steven had advised her to do before he left as well, and it sounded like she was all for it. Then April, Libra, and Ollie swept in and turned her attention onto Angie, with Memphis as a pawn. Sounds like there is a pretty good chance that will happen unless something drastic happens between now and nominations later today. Jessie was trying to talk her out of it, in favor of “sticking with the plan,” i.e. getting Dan and Jerry out next. Libra stayed with Keesha all night to make sure no one else had a chance to talk to her about it.
The food competition takes place this afternoon and nominations are this evening.
The first week, Libra seemed like she was one of the more together people in the house. I was wrong. She’s a queen bee, and when she is actually nominated (by whoever), there’s going to be DAAAAAYS of drama. Betrayal! Treason! Hatefulness! Guinea pigs and turtles living together! The end of the world as we know it!
yellowval suggested putting Libra up as a pawn, but really organizing her ouster. It won’t work. Libra will never even allow herself to be put up as a pawn, not willfully. And if it’s done without her consent, again, there will be hell to pay in that house. The only way to get her out with a minimum of drama (and note that minimum can possibly be an awful lot) is to backdoor her. If they’re going to do it, they need to do it sooner than later, because you do NOT want Libra on the jury if you’re the person who put her up, especially if you did it backdoor.
Yeah, it was wishful thinking on my part. I do hope that somehow, someone can convince Keesha to backdoor Libra this week. Send her home to her babies, where she belongs! [soapbox]I hate to be judgy, and I don’t have children myself, but I simply cannot imagine leaving 5-month-old babies at home to be on a reality show. There are so many firsts in a baby’s first year, and she’s going to miss a lot of them. I know there have been other people on the show before who have had children, but IMO it’s different with older children. They’re not changing quite so quickly then.[/soapbox]
