Is that “The Terminator” love theme they’re playing in the dramatic scenes between Rachael and Brendan?
It’s harsher this year than I recall. But I didn’t mind tonight.
Except cheat on her boyfriend on national TV. Yeah, I can imagine he’d be upset.
Heh, fair enough.
So the recappers posted screencaps of a play wrestling match between Lane and Britney last night after the competition. After googling around, apparently Lane and Britney haven’t been able to keep their hands off each other all season, albeit 100% chaste. (Hamstertime dropped the ball on these two.) Much like Jeff and Jordan last season, this makes their interactions irresistably charming. Here are some highights for the hopeless romantics out there:
Short youtube clips: one • two • three (watch 'em quick before they get pulled)
Fanforum screencaps: (Thread chain starts here.)
Last night’s wrestling:
Lane: Get on your hands and knees.
Britney: That sounds dirty.
Lane: No, it’s professional. It’s a move.
Chokehold one • two
Britney: Choke me out.
Lane: Really?
Britney: Yeah.
Matt: No, you’ll get in trouble.
Hugs one • two • three • four • five
More wrestling: one • two • Wrestling turns into a surprise back-cracking • Another adjustment
Lane does pushups with Britney on his back
Of course Britney is engaged, making this platonic showmance a little oogy. But according to jokers that relationship may not be as rock solid as it sounds. (Link.) After seeing this, I think Lane would go against the Brigade to save Britney, or at very least would never nominate or vote her out.
Oh yeah, and last night’s HoH results:
Too bad Brendan won HoH and barring a miracle Britney’s going home this week. The problem is that it’ll come down to a choice between Ragan and Britney, and Matt will be able to out-debate Lane when it comes time to pick which side-alliance to cut loose. Britney’s only chance is for her or Lane to win veto.
Lane consoling Britney right after HoH • Then cheering her up after showers • Then wrestling
Ugh! Brendan won? If he puts Britney up, hopefully she can continue her streak and win POV. Unlike last week when I couldn’t wait for Rachel to be gone, Britney is the LAST thing I want off my screen! She’s smokin’ hot and she brings the snark.
(This is very long because typing is way faster than editing, and I just don’t feel like cutting it down to the bare essence.)
Since Rachel left the house, Brendan has been a million times less douchey, the tension has been way less, and all the houseguests have been able to get along surprisingly well. He’s still painfully socially awkward in that “new kid at school” sense, but now that he no longer has to be a knight for his damsel in distress he’s much more tolerable. The fact that he thinks he is in a four-person alliance with Hayden, Enzo and Kathy probably helps his demeanor quite a bit.
The following spoilers discuss house dynamics, so they’re worth reading after Sunday and Wednesday’s shows respectively.
Nominations are in:
After avenging Rachel by putting Britney, Ragan and Matt on Have-Not for the week, the next day Brendon talked to everyone one-on-one in the HoH.
Ragan cut a deal with Brendan that if he doesn’t go home, he won’t put Brendan up next week.
At some point during the day, Matt lied to Lane that Britney was campaigning against him to Brendan, and Lane believed him. He wasn’t pissed so much as surprised, but he did throw Britney under the bus in his one-on-one with Brendan. Good play by Matt, though I’m not a fan of the move.
Hayden and Enzo – who now basically run the Brigade – are dead set on Britney going home. Hayden spent an hour trying to convince Brendan to put up Britney and Ragan.
Britney did a masterful job at manipulation. She went to HoH before Brendan, said to the camera “this will be good,” grabbed a couple tissues, then when Brendan came in and they started talking she cued the waterworks like a pro. Explaining how it hurt when Brendan attacked Nick she triggered his “knight” complex, then played into his philosophy of “keeping competitors in the game” by pointing out that she’s a competitor who never throws anything. Plus she’s had no alliance with anybody since Monet so she feels she really earned the right to stay in the house. At the very least, she’s earned the right to play for Veto if she goes up, so out of respect for a competitor, please don’t backdoor her. This in particular seemed to land.
Britney’s downfall is that she still talks game with Enzo, who wants her out in the worst way. I’m starting to think he’s a misogynist, and not just because he has repeatedly referred to Britney as a cunt in an offhand way. He seemed personally offended at the possibility that both Kristen and Britney would mess things up for the Brigade, as if “bros before hos” were decreed by god himself. His animosity toward both of them has been definitely beyond a game level. Then again, that brings the tally to three misogynists in the house this season – Brendan, Andrew and now Enzo – so maybe I’m quick to assume that?
So Brendan nominated Lane and Ragan. WTF? From his false perception of the house, this was a masterful stroke since it basically tears the four-way alliance of Lane/Britney and Matt/Ragan apart. If the Brigade didn’t exist this would actually have been a masterstroke.
Veto players were drawn last night:
The two people sitting out are Matt and Britney. Doh! This is looking like worst case scenario for Britney. Worst of all is that Lane got houseguest’s choice and chose Hayden instead of Britney. Ouch. Thanks, Matt, for your stinky lie.
That fateful choice could actually help Britney. An objective analysis would conclude that Matt and Ragan is a much stronger bond than Lane and Britney, meaning Ragan is the one who poses the bigger threat to the Brigade. Enzo is hardcore deadset that “that cunt” has to go this week, so he’s not thinking rationally. Hayden sees the utility in getting Ragan out first, since Matt is helping Ragan prep for the PoV and generally talks game to Ragan while Lane never talks game to Britney. Enzo is the main problem for Britney fans.
Lane did campaign for Britney to Hayden and Enzo by pointing out Ragan’s deal with Brendan and Matt’s PoV help / game talk with Ragan. It was actually a very funny conversation between the three of them up in HoH, which they really should show on broadcast. They were all laughing and in a good mood, secure in the knowledge that Lane and the Brigade are safe this week. Here’s a transcript of a small portion:
Lane: Matt was tellin’ me, you know, Ragan will stick with his deal 'cause that’s the person he is. He doesn’t want to break his deal.
Enzo: So Ragan’s not going to put Brendan up.
Lane: Britney would not do that; she didn’t make a deal. [Throws up arms in mock disgust] But she tried to campaign against me! You’re my side alliance. What are you doing?!
Hayden: (smiling) That tells me how much control you have over your side alliance.
Lane: I have control over her, but she’s freaked…
Hayden: Your side alliance is campaigning against you, bro.
Lane: NO! Your side alliance put me up!
[Hayden cracks up]
Lane: Y’all promised me he wouldn’t. “You’re not his target. He’s not even looking at you.”
Hayden: Dude, I was up here for an hour trying to convince him not to…
This converstaion continued on with them all laughing. It was funny as shit.
Britney’s problem is if anyone comes off the block, Enzo and Hayden will campaign like no tomorrow to get Britney up instead of Matt, and if Britney goes up, Enzo will almost certainly get the votes to evict her. The downer part is that Hayden, Brendan, Lane and Enzo will all use the veto if they win it, and they’re all extremely motivated to do so. Against Ragan and Kathy, so it’s pretty likely.
Even if Ragan wins and Matt goes up against Lane, Matt will use the DPOV to take himself down and put Britney up. Really, Britney’s only chance is to convince Brendan to go against his alliance of Enzo and Hayden by backdooring Matt (against Ragan, not Lane!) instead of her, since a backdoor will almost certainly be happening.
No hard feelings between Britney and Lane, btw. A little later most of the house was hanging out in HoH chatting about random stuff. Britney was in the bed while Lane was laying on the floor. For no reason at all Britney gets up from the bed, goes over to Lane and starts walking on his back for 10 solid minutes. Way cute.
PoV results are in:
Ragan wins. Doh! Britney is almost certainly out the door, as Ragan winning veto was worst case scenario. Her only chance is to convince Brendan to put up Kathy. She is not aware that if Matt goes up in Ragan’s place, Britney goes home.
Recappers think in that case Matt would use the DPOV to send Kathy home instead of Britney because he has a side alliance of three with Ragan and Britney. I’m highly skeptical, but he is both sneaky and independent, so I’ve decided to keep hope alive.

Assuming that Matt uses the DPOV, and who would he put up? Kathy and who else? Keep Lane on the block? as a pawn? another Brigade member? Can Ragan go back up on the block even though he use the POV?
Even though I am rooting for Britney as this point, I think it would be a hoot to see Britney and Rachel in the jury house, together, alone. let the cat fight begin.
more speculation than spoiler, might there be another Pandora’s box? one that will let a previous houseguest back in the game per Chens cryptic statement to Rachel in the post game interview.
Regarding PoV:
The DPoV is only good for one person. Matt would take himself off and can choose his own replacement. Like all special powers, the HoH and PoV winners are immune. The only non-brigade choices for him to put up against Lane are Britney and Kathy. The Brigade in general and Matt in particular have said that they very much want the final 5 to be Brigade + Kathy, and they (and he specifically) have said that a final 5 of Brigade + Britney would be the worst possible scenario. Plus Enzo will be trashing Britney 24/7 for the next week.
Britney is out the door on Thursday.
Replying to “more speculation than spoiler”: (My answer includes actual spoiler)
Yes, that’s exactly what happened today, after your post I might add. Did you see it on feeds or read it on recap? If not, kudos to your mad prediction skillz.
Rachel is back in the house right now. She’s still on jury (not back in the game) but gets to stay in the house for 24 hours and ask questions. Much drama ensued when she arrived, as you might imagine, but it’s settled down now. Details are sketchy, but it appears Brendan opened Pandora’s Box letting her come back while he gets locked away. Not sure if he’s locked away for the whole 24 hours, but if so that would be hysterically awesome.

No I hadn’t read the live feed recaps when I posted the speculation, but I was kind of bored last night so I read some recaps/spoilers last night. It was then that I found out my speculation had indeed come true (sort of).
the speculation WAS NOT in a spoiler box, so I asked the mods to add spoiler boxes. Who knew? Thanks Twickster!!
As far my “mad predictions skillz”, the old “blind hog” theory applies.
Guessing: the POV ceremony goes like this:
- Ragan takes himself off the block,
- Brendan puts Matt on the block,
- Matt uses DPOV to take himself down and puts Britney up?
It looks like CBS TV is delayed by the golf tournament. set DVRs accordingly
Still delayed at this point. Golf hasn’t even ended and it’s only 10 minutes to showtime.
I’ve noticed that the Saboteur announcement which runs when the show goes to commercial says, “There’s a new Saboteur in the house and they’re taking directions from you America.” Not,"…he’s taking directions…". So CBS was too cheap to have it recorded as “he’s” and “she’s” and told the announcer to just say “they’re” and be done with it.
That’s all I got.
Finally got a good Britney & Lane segment. Of course it comes now, with her in real danger of going home this week. She’s not on the block, no, but being backdoored is fairly likely since pretty much everyone would use the veto to pull somebody off. With Hayden and Enzo gunning for her in the worst way – to quote Enzo: “That fucking cunt’s got to go.” – it won’t be too hard to convince Brendan since they’re the only two allies he has in the house.
I’d love to see Britney backdoored against either Lane or Ragan and then have Matt use the DPoV to save Britney and put Enzo up in his place against Lane, with Enzo going home. That would be the greatest thing ever. Matt’s got to be thinking that competition-wise he’d be better off with Britney (3 PoVs) and Ragan (2 runner-up HoH endurance comps) than Hayden and Enzo. Besides which Hayden and Enzo are already turning on Matt. Hear’s hoping Mensa-boy can piece it together.
I feel bad for Britney this week. According to her, she’s PMSing this week and a Have-Not, and very well may be backdoored. Not being able to take hot showers / baths and not being able to eat comfort food has to suck. It’s old hat for her, though, since the last time she was PMSing was the week she and Monet were on the block and Have-Nots as well. Timing is not her strength.
I got to laugh at the indignant confessionals in the diary room from Ragan and Lane. Both are upset that they are on the block, yet both of them would be putting Brendon up if they were the HOH.
Oh shit, that was a game-changer. Spoiler includes PoV and beyond; this may air on the first half of Thursday show before live voting. Or it won’t be aired at all, since it’s a pretty clear case of game-rigging by producers. I’m psyched!
So Matt was the replacement nom, against Lane. He has to use the DPoV and wants Kathy to be in the final 5, so 100% Britney goes home this Thursday.
But wait! In an act of sabotage, Ragan puts a note under Enzo’s pillow that says “I know your secret.” Not sure if he wrote it himself or if the DR wrote it and handed it to him to plant. Either way, Enzo found it a couple hours ago, woke up everyone (except Brendon up in HoH) and showed them the note. Kathy wanted to go back to sleep – it’s like 4am their time – so everyone else went to the cabana room to discuss it.
They first became convinced it’s a woman’s handwriting, and now they’re all convinced Kathy is the saboteur. And they’re pissed! Looks like Britney may just survive the DPoV thanks entirely to this stupid saboteur note.
I would normally be pissed at the producers deliberately screwing with a specific player’s game, but Kathy is so worthless I don’t feel bad. Also, this helps make up for the deliberate screwing with Britney’s game they did last week. Apparently, they didn’t show Rachel Britney’s goodbye message, but instead showed a DR from Britney after the big fight with Brendan. WTF? That’s two jury votes Britney lost from producer manipulation. Worse is that they then let Rachel back into the house to bash Britney to the whole house for 24 hours. So not cool.
Hilarious episode tonight!
Zing-bot needs his own TV show. Zing!
I love the sound effects for Kathy and Enzo doing challenges “Wah Wah Wah”
The fight between Raqan and Ra-tress was a little uncomfortable.
So is Britney or Kathy going to go to jury house via the double secret back door? And how did Kathy and Ra-Tress become such good friends? Enough to confide in kathy about her message to Brendon?
And how stupid is Kathy for telling anyone about the message for Brendan to put up Matt? Hey gal, it’s not YOU , so STFU and don’t give Matt the chance to try to weasel out of it (of course Matt had DPOV, but Kathy doesn’t know that).
Matt has a good opportunity to observe the house and gather information while everyone thinks he is up against Lane. He needs to quietly study the others until the last possible moment when he must play DPoV.
Fingers crossed for Britney to make it another week. I so want Matt to send Enzo home tomorrow night, though for him it’s probably smarter to send Hayden home. Then it’s Matt, Britney and Ragan against Enzo, Kathy, and Brendon (who can’t play for HoH) with Lane caught in the middle. I think Lane goes to Brit & Matt over just Enzo, so that gets Matt to final 4 with Ragan and Brit/Lane, which is my personal ideal final 4.
Small elaboration about the spoiler from my previous post, which will no doubt be part of tomorrow’s show so it’s an actual spoiler:The other reason they’re convinced Kathy is the saboteur is because Rachel wasn’t allowed to leave messages, so it must have been the saboteur who left it. A note was left for Enzo, so clearly messages are okay for sabbie. Kathy is the one who reported the pretzel-message to the others, and she’s also the one who had the HoH key, so she has to be the saboteur. Who directly sabotaged Matt’s game with her pretzel message.
