Big Brother 13 Season Discussion Thread

You’re using the same flawed reasoning as Kalia did. We at home knew full well that Kalia put up Jeff as a pawn to beat Rachel in veto, and if he didn’t, oh well, he goes home and that’s almost as good for Kalia. Kalia explicitly stated this in her planning the noms with Dani.

This is a fine plan for everyone – especially Kalia – except Rachel and Jeff. Jeff correctly tells her during their conversation, “If Rachel wins veto, I go home.” Kalia ignores his objection, and he gets pissed. Is Jeff supposed to be happy about this plan?

Kalia’s downfall is her need to be liked by people; she wanted to bring Jeff in on the plan so that he’d feel on the same team with Kalia. What she was too stupid to realize is that the plan uses Jeff as an expendable commodity. Of course it pissed him off; how could it not?

That he didn’t just smile and kiss the HoH’s ring is, IMO, to his credit. I personally hate the fake sucking up, but more importantly Jeff complained about that very thing all through BB11. Good on him that’s he’s now taking a stand against the HoH. At least he isn’t hypocritically kissing the ring. I’m not saying he was an angel, and maybe he was a little harsh, but his anger was clearly justified.

On an unrelated note, Shelly is getting a terrible edit. She is running the entire house, pulling everyone’s strings. This week in particular was her crowning achievement, and yet CBS has shown none of it. Hopefully we get some good Shelly coverage tonight.

Right now I’m rooting for Shelly to win it all as far and away the most deserving. Distant second would be Porsche, believe it or not, who is the only one to see through Shelly.

ETA: I like J&J, but would like to see them voted out back to back with a couple/few weeks to hang out in jury house together.

I thought Shelly got a lot of airtime last night. First trying to calm Rachel down and later (unsuccessfully) trying to reassure her place with J&J.

I certainly hope that someone is getting a shit edit because the broadcast is making it look like no one has a clue on how to run a decent strategy.

Jesus fucking Christ, America! You suck so bad!

Fuck me.

Anyway, I wonder if they regret not voting out Rachel now. To paraphrase Obi Wan, they’re more powerful now than anyone ever imagined.

Ho yeah. You have to get rid of the WHOLE wart, folks. Not that I loved Lawon, but having Brenchel back in the house is nauseating. Poor Dom. I tried, sweetie. :frowning:

Who audits these votes? I really think they rigged it for drama ratings. They might have just killed the show for me.

That said, Lawon looked poleaxed at the end. He really thought he had a chance against Brendon…

I’m betting Dani, Kalia and Porsche have their hearts down around the soles of their shoes right now. It’s just sickening.

Yeah, Lawon is shorter and not as quick, but he also didn’t have a harpy fiancee shrieking answers at him. Amazed that that was allowed.

Big Brother sucks!

I think Charles Van Doren is going to be on next season.

I think Charles Van Doren is already working for production.

Idiots, the whole lot of them. And America too.

+1

I’m done with this show. Add it to Idol for shows I won’t bother with again.

Hey, CapnPitt, come back to the poker game already, huh?

After her noodling through the ‘plans’ of Lawon and how easy she spotted his B.S., I was impressed. She did this twice last night, but my mind is foggy, so I can’t remember the other incident.

The other one I saw was the Dani bullshit that she saw through. Also, the quick single question she had for the sleeping Kalia – unless that’s what you meant about scoping out Lawon’s “acting” skilz.

Why do you suppose CBS buckled to the pressure to inflict more Brenchel on us? Hatred for America?
