Big Brother 13 Season Discussion Thread
Well it will be interesting whether Jeff nominates the players that are not playing hard to win competitions (Adam, Porsche, Shelly and yes Jordan) or go after players that are playing hard (Dani, Kalia).

What is your guess?

Dani is going to get a chance to play for the veto, so if she gets backdoored, it can’t be a true 100% backdoor, like Brendon was last night.

If Jeff plays it smart (yeah, I know…), he’ll nominate Dani. Dani has the veto ticket…the way it was used before, that means that she plays in the veto competition in addition to the normal six. If she played as an independent and won, and took Kalia or Porsche off, then Jeff has to nominate one of his people (or Rachel), because of the three against his alliance, one is still on, one is now off, and one is immune as the veto-holder. If he puts Dani up as an initial nominee, then she plays veto AS A NOMINEE, which means that IF she wins, she takes herself off, and that leaves either Kalia or Porsche to put up (whoever wasn’t on in the first place).

This is moot if Jeff decides he can’t stand another week in the house with Rachel crying in his ear, and decides to put her up as a replacement nom in the event of an independent Dani veto.
Rachel should not be crying as much this week as she did the other week after HER-MAN left. Since Jeff is the HOH. Agreed, if Kalia or Porshe won last night, Rachel would be on the block and unbearable.
Just for the record, I couldn’t disagree more with jayjay’s analysis of Jeff and Jordan, on every count but one. I think Jeff is definitely anti-gay, and I think that colors jayjay’s impression of him in the sense that Jeff will never get the benefit of the doubt nor will anything that could be interpreted two ways will ever get interpreted in a favorable one.

To clarify my input, I want Jeff & Jordan evicted together in a double eviction so they have a nice vacation. The alternative is a virtual leadpipe lock: Jeff gets voted out soon and Jordan lasts until the final three and gets evicted during the finale. Neither way wins them any money, so may as well enjoy the summer together.

I personally think Dani is an incredible scumbag, far worse than Jeff & Jordan when it comes to character issues. Kalia is fine; she’s just so incredibly annoying on the feeds I can’t stand it.
So I guess this thread has done away with using spoiler boxes for stuff that hasn’t actually aired on TV yet.

And before you start bitching about “Why did you even open the thread,” I wanted to see if there was discussion of Brendon being evicted. Not find out who the next HOH is. Takes the drama out of actually *watching *the competitions, you know.

Sorry, Eyebrows! We started talking about it in spoiler then we started talking about Jeff’s edit generally and I lost track of what was spoiler and what wasn’t. I didn’t mean to tell you something you didn’t want to know yet.

Doh! I didn’t even notice that spoilers had crept into the light, and would have been equally guilty except for the blind luck that my last post didn’t happen to spoil anything concrete.

Apologies; I’ll try to be more mindful. You have a valid complaint.

I reported notfrommensa and my posts that spoiler, so a mod should be coming along to hide them soon. Again, I’m really sorry, Eyebrows.

Fair warning that tonight’s broadcast will likely have weird timing issues. First, there’s another golf tournament so it could be delayed by that. Second, there are also preseason NFL games going on. As an example, my NY CBS station is broadcasting the Jets game from 7pm to 10pm, then Big Brother at 10pm. Preseason goes faster than regular season games, but there’s still a fair chance the game could run long. I’m opting to tape Big Brother on the Hartford CBS at its regular 8pm timeslot, but it could still be delayed by golf.

And thanks, Marley, for the cleanup in aisle 3.

What country does Shelly live in? Frickin’ WAL-MART sells pears, for god’s sake! They even sell avocados, guacaMOL, and coconut water, I’m pretty sure.

Strategy question for the HOH competition. Wouldn’t it have made sense to cup your hands and fill not just the little cup but as much of your hands as possible? Seems to me like most people could have doubled the amount of soap per trip that way. Anyway, I hope Jeff is thinking about back-dooring Danielle. Kalia and Porsche are no threat. I hate when evictions are wasted.

I added the spoiler tags late. Not sure if that is spoiler-worthy at this point, but better safe…

Interesting idea about cupping the hands. I think the rules were that you needed to transfer the soap in the plastic cup, otherwise contestants could carry a huge amount of the liquid in their mouths. But if you surreptitiously did the hands and it didn’t all leak out, it would be a sneaky trick that could work.

On a related note, Brendon could have saved himself if he was truly smart. They had 10 minutes prior to the Count on America competition and his side had numbers. He should have organized his team to vote collectively as a block, as outliers get eliminated. So, he could either instruct his team to follow a pre-set pattern or he could say a number like “9” and all 6 players on his side would guess a random number in the 900’s.

Maybe sneak it in by saying a phrase like “My sister has nine toes”. Hopefully Danielle and Porsche do not catch on in time.

(They shouldn’t all guess the same number because they could tie for outlier and be eliminated en masse)

Atta boy, Jeff. Good move.

Its funny that Jeff complains about floaters and basically Jordan has done nothing of note this game. She is worthless in challenges, the HoH that she won was a crap shoot and Jeff and Brendon didn’t try to beat her.

Not to mention that he took Porsche, who’s the biggest floater this season, off the block.

Also, has Adam done *anything *this season? He seems like a nice guy and all, but talk about useless.

Well, he did shave his beard…

He did win the veto last week.

Yeah, after both Dani and Jeff threw it.

You can’t discount Jordan’s win for being a crapshoot because quite a few of the competitions are crapshoots. Besides which, she correctly predicted what shot was going to be the winner in the competition and practiced it. (Farthest to the end as opposed to closest after the hump or in the center.)

But I agree with the general point that it’s stupid to talk about getting out floaters. It’s stupid to not get out strong competitors who are gunning for you, which is exactly what Dani was. Speaking of which, Dani lied in the DR, which always annoys me. Jeff was her #1 target this week; she only made a deal with him to try and cover her ass. All last week she was hammering home to her alliance that Jeff absolutely had to go this week.

Love J&J, but I’m kinda rooting for Jeff to go during double eviction simply because I would find it really funny if the first three people in jury are Bendon, Dani and Jeff. Then the prophecy becomes true: Back in the first couple weeks the vets were all on board to get out the floaters or “we’re gonna be sitting in jury while worthless players get to the end and we’re gonna look at each other like ‘How did this happen?’” hehheh.
