Big Brother 4: I Hate Them Already

Poor Jee. He looks so sad sitting there smoking a cig by himself. Who wants to be SOMEBODY takes up smoking just to be with Jee so he’s not so lonely?

If Alli thinks that nobody can resist her giant tatas and Nate is holding out on her…what a well…word that I can’t think of right now. Preppy bitch perhaps is what I should call her. So full of how she KNOWS she’s this hot little thang who can get any guy in the house, including Jack, if she so desired. Just because Nate happens to be holding out doesn’t mean he doesn’t want her, he’s just thinking with his brain instead of his trousersnake (unlike some of the OTHER guys in the house coughJustincough).

Just now read all five pages of this thread. Heavy! I had decided not to get into the thread until several episodes had passed and I had my own opinions formed. It’s been interesting to see the before and after nature of the views here. Also, I have only the TV version to go by, with no hints beyond the spoilers of what the live feeds offer.

Since the Friday show (Aug/1) is the last one I’ve seen and it was where Ali put up Dana and Jun as nominees for eviction, I must say that in spite of how badly I want Dana (and Ali) to go, I think the possibilities that Jun will be leaving are high.

In the order I want folks to leave, it’s:

  1. Dana
  2. Ali
  3. Nathan
  4. Robert
  5. Justin
  6. Jun
  7. Jee
  8. Erica
  9. Jack

But, since my wishes are least likely to happen, I suspect Jun will be the next to go.

And if it does come down to Erica and Jack as the last two, I think Jack has the better chance. But that presumes that Jack makes it to the final two, which is hard to predict in terms of how stupid the others are to allow that to happen.

It has become more interesting as a show as time has gone on, mostly because the pettiness and stupidity factor has given way to outright evil and phoniness. Jack’s long-term exposure to this aspect of human nature has given him the proper tools to cope with it. We’re being treated to how the younger group gets to learn it on the fly.

In retrospect, I can imagine the show’s producers being pleased with themselves.

If they vote Jun out, who will cook, clean and do manicures/pedicures for them?
I think Dana has to go! She’s toxic. (Not that the rest of them aren’t.)

It seems 45 minutes of the show they just talk about who to vote for, who to keep, etc. That gets boring for me & I wish they would talk more about character & personal facts…

Ok - so as it stands right now we’ve got:

Alison - HOH - so she won’t vote (except as a tie-breaker)

Dana - nominiee - so she can’t vote

Jun - nominee - she can’t vote
That leaves us with (please note my ? at the end of each prediction):

Erika - voting for Dana?
Jack - voting for Dana?
Nathan - voting for Dana?

Justin - voting for Jun?
Robert - voting for Jun?
Jee - voting for Jun?
Wouldn’t it be fun if Ali had to break the tie by announcing her vote on Live TV? I can just imagine what she might say. And I hope the cameras focus on Dana the whole time Ali is making what would probably be a snipppy little speech (should the votes go the way my WAG has gone).

callie, I can’t argue with your hypothetical, but we still have the veto to endure.

Assuming whoever wins veto chooses to use it and removes:

A) Dana – Ali puts up whom?
B) Jun – Ali puts up whom?

My vote for either situation will be Jack! (Ali’s deal with Justin precludes her obvious first choice, and I think her deal with Nathan keeps him out for at least a week.) So, with Jack as the choice against Dana, Dana goes; against Jun, Jun goes.

I believe the odds favor Jun going, in all variations.

I can’t rule out Erica as a replacement for either Dana or Jun, but I think even Ali realizes she loses in a smart contest with Jack, and she’s obviously going to cut as many throats as possible.

Only trouble she has is that others are just as cold-blooded as she is. And the fact that the vote is pretty close to your hypothetical (as I see it) means that Jun-as-pawn suffers the fate of most pawns, adding to the thrill of next week’s machinations.

It’s a win-win for the audience at this point, since everybody has managed to develop real hatred for at least one of them by now.

The latest from the recaps is that it’s currently a three-three tie with the exes voting to bounce Jun and what’s left of the O8 voting for Dana. Ali’s tie breaker would obviously go to Dana. Justin and the other exes don’t want to give Alison the satisfaction of personally evicting Dana on live TV so they are now discussing throwing one of their votes to Dana just to save her the humiliation. They don’t want to use the veto because Ali has already told them that she would put up Justin next and they want to preserve their “three stooges” alliance. Their conundrum now is deciding who’s going to vote out Dana. They know they can’t save her so they just want to make it as painless for her as they can.

Zeldar - why don’t you think that Ali would put up Jee if the winner of the veto uses it? That would be a way to break up that threesome (Jee, Justin, and Robert). I never heard her even mention Jee as an option - or did I miss it?

I have to agree with you that it is definitely win win for us at this point. It’s going to be interesting no matter what happens. I have to admit that I’m still missing the extreme personalities that were involved in last years compitition though (Marcellus and Amy for starters). Oh well.

I imagine that they’ll be doing the veto ceremony sometime today so we should know more about whats what then.

They’re finally starting to intrigue a little more. But I’ll agree with callie, the personalities don’t inspire me so far. This is one reason the recaps have stopped. The thrill isn’t there. And it was obvious because they just didn’t have the flair that they did last year.

I’m still going to watch and comment, though.

callie, you’re right that I overlooked Jee’s possibilities as a filler instead of Jack. Makes good sense. In fact, I have been seeing Jee as a “sleeper” in that he’s managing to be about as non-threatening as one could be. The bit with making those pipes work was about the only thing I’ve seen (well, there was that bit with the chairs in the yard they ragged him about) where he’s shown any abilities that would work against him as far as the others are concerned. For that reason, I guess, he’s even sliding under my radar. Notice I have him pretty far down on my list of folks to get rid of.

As for their stealth and radar-avoiding, Jee and Robert seem to have things well covered, with Erica close behind.

Diogenes the Cynic makes some good points, too, that I hadn’t taken into account. This whole business of trying to look several moves ahead and trying to get inside the minds of each of the players is where it gets fun for me.

I never even watched the first season when it was up to the public to banish people. I think that would have ruined the fun for me if the show had kept that going. Too much like the favorites voting on American Idol to suit me. This way, even with drones to have to watch, it has some elements of suspense and intrigue going for it.

Way more so than 80% of the “dramas” the networks are running these days.

What exactly is " HoH "? I am in Ireland and watched the U.K. Big Brother and we apparently have different rules. This years BB sucked by the way- the American one seems a little more exciting in a cut-throat kind of way!

HoH is Head of Household. I don’t know how the UK version works exactly, but don’t the public vote off people? In the American version, the Head of Household nominates two people for the other houseguests to choose to evict. Sometimes, that can be a Sophie’s Choice type of thing, like Erika with David and Jack.

Power of veto spoiler:

According to the live feed recaps, Robert did not use the power of veto.

Put some butter on Dana, cuz she is TOAST.

Ewww…Dana buttered. There are some places no man’s mind is supposed to go.

Couldn’t agree with you more on both counts, Lola. For those of you who haven’t seen The Restaurant yet, don’t miss it (on CBS, Sundays, at 10). It’s excellent, IMHO.[/micro hijack]

I don’t know, they might pull a Will on Dana. Someone’s gotta figure that they’d stand a pretty good chance of winning against her if she’s in the finals, whereas Jun would probably get some votes from the jury.

Based on what the live feeds are showing, it looks like Jack has Dana paranoid about how her supposed alliance is against her. Jack, Erika, and Nathan have all said they would vote to oust Dana. The other side has said the same thing, so she is likely gone.

That said, I think it would be a brilliant strategic move for Jack, Nathan, and Erika to vote to oust Jun, create a 3-3 tie, and for Alison to suck up her Dana hate and break the tie by booting Jun.

The other alliance is blindsided and thrown off for the HOH challenge. A stronger player is eliminated. And, while the evil that is Dana is kept in the house, they would stand a better chance of getting her on their side by saving her while showing her that her friends were the ones to vote to oust her.

“Is Allison ever calm and collected?”

bug eyed, grimacing, perpetually pissed off Dana
You GOTTA love it!

I’m convinced Dana is certifiable.
Has she no recollection of her behavior when she was HOH? Can she not understand why Allison MUST
