What happened to the Big Brother fans here? Back when I posted during BB9, there were a few fans floating around. What do you all think about the final two of Memphis & Dan?
I think Dan played an awesome game and deserves the win. Memphis was good, but he was Robin to Dan’s Batman.
I think the show was weak this time around. I watched it, but it’s getting too redundant. The cast was pretty bland and unlikeable overall. April was the worst. I guess Dan deserves to win because he played the game more than Memphis. I have to think that mid-level players from previous seasons would have won easily this season.
I was wondering where the threads were too. I actually liked this season and I’m pretty happy with the final two. I think Dan played a great game after having a crappy start. I’m hoping for Dan, but I think Memphis played well too. But calling himself a “mixologist” drops him down in my book.
Either one is fine with me, though I prefer Dan to win. He played this game very well.
I think the lack of interest happens almost every year. There’s just TOO MUCH of Big Brother…three episodes a week for almost 3 months. Plus a LOT of what happens is behind the scenes, on the live feeds. The difference between the live feeds and the edited and broadcast show is sometimes HUGE. This is really the only “realtime” reality show on the air, and that makes it even MORE than just the three shows a week. To get the real picture (rather than the picture the producers are shaping with editing) you have to keep track of either the live feeds themselves (and did you know you CAN’T get a government grant to take off work for 3 months and do that? It’s outrageous!) or read recaps online.
It’s kind of exhausting.

It just wasn’t interesting.
None of the characters told interesting stories, none were particularly amusing - except maybe brian - , and none elicited a “must watch!” response from me.
I enjoy big brother, and I was a minute-by-minute watcher of Seasons 3, 5, and 8. There just wasn’t anything watch-worthy in these people.
No salacious information, no accidental nudity, no workout sessions, no huge fights, and when things got too stressful, they simply hid up in the HOH room.
Just… blah.
Yeah, I have to agree that this season was kinda meh. I was actually wondering if it would even be back next season, seeing as how the British version has been cancelled. But since they’re advertising for new contestants, I guess it’ll be back.
Even this season had its highlights, though. Renny is at or at least near the top of the all-time “batshit crazy” houseguests list for sure. Bringing in a 75-year-old houseguest was an interesting idea, but I don’t think it panned out very well. But you can bet the mortgage that Jerry will win the $25,000 bonus in the fan vote.
As for the final two: I don’t see it being even close. Dan played this game better than anyone else, and I think the jury will see that. Memphis may get one or two votes, but it’s going to be Dan in a landslide.
I’m just shocked that the season isn’t already long over. Big Brother has never been a high priority in my life, and stuff has happened which has reduced my tv watching from slim to almost non-existant, but for some reason I thought it should have been over a month ago (at which time I may have caught part of an episode and been reminded why watching Big Brother is not a high priority.
I don’t think there’s any way Jerry wins the 25K. I think Renny wins the 25K in a landslide.
I think it will be between Renny and Keesha.
Tonight’s episode was…interesting. A clip show where the producers might as well have handed Dan and Memphis lines. It certainly sounded like they did from the quality of the delivery. “Say, do you remember the time Ollie was scared of a little crow?” :::Cue dreamy music::: Still, I thought Dan came out well in the editing with the clips they decided to show.
You know, I think the contestants were okay–I think it was the producers/editors who really dropped the ball here. From what I saw and read about the live feeds, there were plenty of interesting things going on that we just were never shown:
I watched the clip show wondering, “Why didn’t they show us more stuff like this throughout the season?” It would have made the show more interesting and would have let us connect more with the contestants. The Swim Club was fun, as was the fake talk show and the sock puppet show. And Renny’s impersonations of the other houseguests were hilarious! I would have been more emotionally invested in the show had I seen those bits earlier.
Yep. Both of the big fights lasted for literally HOURS! They only showed about five or ten minutes of each on the show.
I didn’t watch the show last night because it was a clip show and I’ve been following the live feeds already (by reading recaps). Did they show any more or Ollie’s tantrum after Dan put Michelle up?
Don’t leave those of us without the live feeds hanging! Tell us some details of these fights.
I’ve been watching this season, but I have to agree with jayjay. After a while, it’s just too much - keeping up with this show seems like more of a chore than a pleasure. The only reason I’m still watching is that my wife is addicted.
I’d like to see Dan win - I think he played a more active role in the “Renegades” alliance than Memphis did.
For the $25,000, I think Renny will win, but I’d love for Keesha to win, just so I can see April’s head explode.
My guess is Memphis. What Dan thinks will be seen as “good playing” others will see as deceit.
Jerry wins the 25k. Everybody loves an old codger who can hang.
With that money, Jerry could could go back to Korea and rent himself 1,250 underage Korean prostitutes for a month!
He’s just a lovely fella all around.
Jerry would’ve been a shoe-in for the $25k, but he sorta shot himself in the foot with the Judas and “womanizer” slams.
Also, his comment or joke about buying the Big Brother house may make some folks think he doesn’t need the money.
I hope Dan wins. He’s the only one out of all of them, that actually played the game.
I never liked Memphis. I’m not sure why, just a general feeling I have about him.
I hope either Renni or Keasha get the $25,000.
My reason for not wanting Memphis to win is a little more selfish…if he wins $500,000, he has less reason to pose naked for Playgirl…
