I thought the actress who played Ted’s daughter did an impressive job copying younger Ted’s original mannerisms. Specifically the quick headfakes she Bill’s daughter would do at each other when they were surprised by something, but also the general loose stances and other mannerisms.
Honestly, she did it better than Keanu Reeves did in this movie.
Well, one of the Dads. Missy’s hubby before Cop Dad, Bill’s father, wasn’t in this one.
Sadly, yes.
The more I think about it, the main takeaway was that it was nice, but that it stood out how out-of-character Reeves seemed. He just kind of did the lines and seemed nothing like Ted from the original two movies.
I was really impressed by that; she had clearly studied the original films with considerable care. The actress doing Thea was pretty good too, but Bill isn’t as distinctive a character to imitate anyway. What they really successfully captured was the kind, sweet, friendly nature of the characters.
I thought the movie was most unheinous. It wasn’t as good as Excellent Adventure. I think it was generally as good as Bogus Journey until the muddled final ten minutes. It was fun.
They WERE rock stars. They had a #1 hit. They could be doing okay off residuals.
I’m internet friends with a musician who had some very big hits back in the day but is just a working musician now. They still get checks regularly from licensing deals and work just out of sheer love of it.
It also didn’t help that in half the scenes they were talking to mirrors of themselves, so any awkwardness with the characters was doubled.
Honestly, the movie should have been about the daughters, instead of the… smorgasbord of whatever it was about. That would have been a better movie.
It was weak, the weakest of the three movies. Just kinda bland. That said, with the way things are today, I think it’ll be better received than it otherwise would be. A movie could do worse than be a silly, warmhearted walk down memory lane right now. I liked it more than I should have to be honest, but I don’t think it will have any replay value.
The goal of Bill & Ted, to unite the world, means more these days than ever.
Yes, and I found the ending very good.
There’s potential they could do another solely with the daughters. Or even a limited streaming series.
This movie should have been that, with B&T as Yoda-like characters: “Billie, feel the Triumphantness flow through you.” They don’t know if they can be all their dads were, but dammit they’d be most excellent at trying.
Nah, it had to be about Bill and Ted. They still got it!
Huh??? There were only four Bond films released before Casino Royale.
What’s 90% of four?

I assume he’s talking about the 2006 remake with Daniel Craig, which was the 21rst Bond film

These days my irony detector is so worn out I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.
I find your review to be bogus.
I found the movie to be most excellent! Fun, enjoyable, lots of laughs. Amazing that they worked so well together. And I truly loved the reveal of the Preston/Logan song. Most excellent.
I have to say, the best performance of the franchise was by Hal Landon Jr when Ted possessed his dad. It was pretty exaggerated but also a spot-on Ted-Keanu imitation.

I’m on the fence sometimes as to which of the first two movies is better. Excellent Adventure has a much tighter script. Bogus Journey, however,
- Was clearly made on a much larger budget, and it shows. The general quality is higher, and it’s got some really awesome set pieces. The sequences in Hell are so good.
- Is imaginative and uses the elements of cinema as art to a much greater degree, and
- Death. Oh my God, William Sadler is funny. He should have been nominated for an Academy Award.
It’s an amazingly good sequel, but fails to be better than the original because it just gets jumbled at the end.

He should have been.
“I helped too! I pushed the cart and I did the wigs!”
Only heard good things about this so far… I might watch it
