Not the anti-Christ, the anti-Tammy Wynette. Funny thing is, she has stood by her man. There’s definitely something there, whether the rest of us see it or not.
That makes me wonder how many other kids he is daddy too.
Seriously, why I disagreed with with most aspects of Clinton’s politcs, I do wish him a speedy recovery. Hey, we conservatives need someone on the other side to pick on, and none of the other democrats fit the bill as well as Bill did.
…is how a man who probably has had the best health carre available on this planet, could be so sick? He has 4 arterial blockages, yet as president, he was attended by a personal physician (a man who was a professor of medicine), and had regualr checkups at Walter Reed Hospital, possibly one of the finest hospitals in the world!
What was he doing with himself for the past 4 years? Stuffing himself with Big Macs?
I don’t wish him ill, but its hard to see how this guy’s health could have deteriorated so much in 4 years!
Yeah, I know I’m a cynical bitch, but I don’t think that woman has made a move in years without weighing it for political advantage.
YMMV, of course…
Hilary the anti-christ?
You’ve never talked to a John Bircher, have ya?
Sorry, I forgot I had my hand in there.
What can I say, my cynicism levels are rather high this week. Must be that darn RNC.
Moving this from IMHO to MPSIMS, and hoping we can keep it out of The BBQ Pit.
Aw, don’t worry, Rjung. If you had heart troubles, I’d wish you an even speedier recovery!
And I’d shush anyone that booed it, too.
(Hey, I’m conservative, but I’m not entirely heartless… just mostly.)
Ins tead of a basket of fruit, or flowers, let’s all get together and send Bill something to cheer him up after his surgery! A basket of Big Macs, Fries, and Hot Apple Pies!
And cigars!
Has anything new been posted on his condition? Is the surgery even finished yet?
The guy was a major fast-food junkie for the first year or two of his presidency. Probably for years before that.
I hated him as president, but still, I wish him a speedy recovery.
I really hope he’s okay. I hated some of the things he did as Prez but basically I liked the guy.
But why did they have to interrupt the US open to give us a complete report & interview w/his doctor? A crawler would have done the job . . .
If Pillory is too busy, send over Monica or Paula. I’m sure they could lift his spirits, maybe more.
I too wish him a speedy recovery. I am always heartened by the fact that caring, thinking people on both sides of the political fence can still look upon their opponents as human beings. When Reagan died, it lifted my beliefs in the basic goodness of 99.999% of humanity, when even his most ardent political foes on and off this board expressed sincere sympathy to the man’s family.
And with Clinton’s bypass, I see the same from his political foes–they wish the man well.
Black humor aside, of course. I cracked jokes about my best friend’s testicular ailments ("You don’t have the ball to face me!, etc) once a few years had passed and I was sure he was going to be okay.
Sir Rhosis
The surgery went well and he is resting and breathing on his own, but it was close. I heard a report that he was very, very close to a massive and possibly fatal heart attack.
Yikes.
That’s why they did the bypass.

It didn’t. This type of ailment is virtually undetectable by routine physical exams and is normally the result of many years of abuse. The only semi-reliable test is the stress test, but ususally the first sign of blockage is a heart attack of some degree or another (or chest pain in this case). You can’t start suddenly eating well and exercising in your 50s and expect things to be peachy.
