Breaking news on the NYT site…
CNN banner adds that he needs bypass surgery.
Well, I guess we all know what he was watching on t.v. last night.
(Is it wrong to make a joke about a heart attack? It probably is. I blame this place for corrupting me.)
Seriously, I hope he’s okay. Despite the fact that I was totally opposed to his national health plan, I think he was a fine president. In fact, I wish his name was on the ballot in November.
NYT says Clinton had a heart attack.
CNN says Clinton needs heart bypass surgery.
Fox News, I suppose, says he never had a heart, and the surgery will be to remove demons from his chest.
Even though I was only eighteen when his last term as president ended and thus wasn’t politically aware for most of his presidency, I still consider him to be a great man… I hope he pulls through with as little complications as possible.
I had my diffences of opinion with him. Mainly, it seemed that the man never saw the gun control bill he didn’t like. Otherwise, he was a centrist like most presidents.
Hope he recovers.
After reading the Reuters and CNN versions of the news, it’s clear to me that he did not have a heart attack, but experienced some unstable angina. “Further testing” means to me that he had a cardiac catheterization which showed some stenosis of his coronary arteries and would require bypass surgery. People with acute heart attacks don’t generally wait 3-4 days to have something done about it.
Angina? You sure that’s not a typo? (We are talking about Clinton, after all.)
Well, surely he’s had some unstable VAgina in his day, too, man.
[sub]You’re TERRIBLE![/sub]
No, it was Tipper who suffered from depression.
I am terrible, too.
And in possibly related news, Krispy Kreme stock is down over 4% today…
I heard it’s gonna be a quad, maybe as soon as tomorrow morning. Nice of Hilary to pretend to be a caring wife and run over there!

- Yes, but he never had sax with that angina. <:D

Tasteless jokes from right-wing pundits will commence in five… four… three…
Dude, you know i share many of your political positions, but is it really productive to take such pre-emptive jabs at conservatives on topics that really have little to do with politics?
In another thread on this same subject, both Shodan and Mr. Moto expressed their concern for Clinton, and wished him well.
Did I miss the memo stating that Hilary had been declared the anti-Christ or something?
Since when does a woman going to be at the side of her spouse (and father of her child) automatically get to be assumed to be “pretending to care”?
Actually, without exception, every right wing commentator I’ve heard today has wished Clinton a speedy recovery, without snarking. There have been a few good natured fast food jokes, but nothing tasteless.
I didn’t like him even before he got elected, but I hope he pulls through okay.
He’s somebody’s daddy. He needs to stick around to give Chelsea away at her wedding and then be Grandpa.
I am touched.
Yeah, it was posted back in 1992, about the time that she said she wasn’t going to bake cookies.
