Bill Clinton's penis a lock to move back into White House?

Did you know that you can Google a whole phrase? Like “Several friends of Broaddrick’s backed up the story”, Googled, reveals sources: National Review Online, Breitbart, World Net Daily. Names that represent the gold standard for non-partisan and objective truthiness.

Vox reported the same thing.

Damn good job linking there, Skippy.

Really more of an examination of both sides.

I bow to your psychic supreme knowledge in which you are able to know which claims are factual and which are not. Apparently any claim by anyone which reflects poorly on Hillary Clinton (or any Democrat, really) is factual, and any claim by anyone which does not is not factual.

The Adaher Progression:

“The facts say X!”

<The facts turn out not to say X>

“Well, the evidence strongly supports X!”

<The evidence does not say what it is alleged to say>

“Well, the media investigation will definitely hurt [person]!”

<The media outside the RW bubble don’t report the story in the way claimed>

“Well, what important is that the public believe the stories the RW have been spreading for months. The facts are irrelevant. The evidence is irrelevant. The media are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what people believe.”

<adaher is called out yet again for being morally bankrupt>

“You just saying that because you’re Democrats!”

<repeat ad nauseum>
(See for evidence: Benghazi, the IRS “scandal”, the AP “scandal”, this whole freaking thread…)

:dubious:

Actually, I started this thread to make fun of Hillary Clinton because I want her to lose the nomination.

I voted for a centrist President in 2008 and saw him attacked as a left-wing menace. From 1992-2000 I saw the Clintons attacked as left-wing menaces. Al Gore was attacked as a left-wing menace. I’m fed up and now I want an* actual *leftist in the White House. (Doesn’t have to be a menace, though.)

Failing that, someone who isn’t a fair-weather friend of progressivism. Oh, wait, that would be an actual leftist.

But hey, maybe I’m a tool of a vast right-wing conspiracy.

It’s possible! When I was much younger, I tried watching a television show that was supposedly “political humor.” It was Rush Limbaugh’s foray into TV, it was dire, and even baby Reaganite me thought he was bizarre. I remember he hated the Clintons. I watched too much of it, being into politics and kind of right-wing back then. So maybe some of the mud he flung at them stuck in my mind.

And now, after I have moved way, way over to the left, maybe Rush Limbaugh’s old routine is programming me to destroy Hillary Clinton, like some unconscious sleeper agent. Maybe.

Still, I don’t trust one of the Clintons to reverse the rightward slide of the party under the DNC Democrats. Her husband bragged of ending welfare and sent mercenaries into the Balkans on our dollar. That’s not a man who quite believes in government, let alone the Great Society. Or maybe he thinks he believes in government, but he doesn’t understand it. Hillary doesn’t dare run against Bill’s record, and his record is, well, that of a man who tried to deal with Gingrich, sold out the poor to do it, and still got harassed for his trouble.

And one reason to vote for Obama in the primary eight years ago was to get away from that particular set of politicians and their squabbles. I voted to leave them behind. It seems like some people want Hillary to come back as some form of vindication. I don’t think she deserves that.

But for whatever reason, I want someone else to be President, not her. But hey, maybe I’m the only person affected that way, and she’s still perfectly electable without my help.

“Overwhelmingly?” Was he reelected with a landslide popular majority?
Oh, wait, no, many Democrats decided they’d rather vote for Ross Perot again.

But his popularity guaranteed that his VP, Al Gore, would–
–no, wait, Gore refused to campaign with Grabbyhands Jefferson McControversy, and then managed to eke out a loss. And if he’d campaigned with Bill, he might well have lost worse.

Seriously, I think any forgetfulness and youthful ignorance is on HRC’s side, not the other way around. Those of us old enough to have voted in those elections mostly voted against her husband. Why would we now vote for her?

The “overwhelmingly” refers to Bill’s approval rating during and after the Monica scandal – it was incredibly high for a second term president.

In my view if Gore had embraced Bill, he would have won pretty easily – he made the wrong choice, IMO.

There are Democrats against pepper spray? Huh. Maybe.

So, by analogy, you may also be wrong about being better at protecting women from violent crime.

Not me. I knew the Republicans were full of shit long before the 2000 election.

Speaking of which: you realize that Democrats lost the 2000 election because Ralph Nader convinced a bunch of people that they shouldn’t vote Democrat, because the Democrats were centrist and tainted and no better than Republicans? I mean, yeah, sure - George got the office because Republicans are unprincipled, lying, thugs, and the Supreme Court gave it to them for partisan reasons, but the only reason that worked is because the vote was so close. And the reason for that was Ralph Nader.

So here you are now, suggesting that the Clinton is too centrist and tainted and therefore we should vote for someone impossible. Those of us Democrats who actually voted in the year 2000 election will tell you to your face to go eat Ralph Nader’s shorts.

Bottom line for me, assuming Hillary gets the nomination, is that Hillary is tons and tons less bad than all of the Republican candidates. It doesn’t matter if she sucks, or if her husband is a rapist, or if she’s semi-corrupt – she’s still way, way better than all of the Republicans, and I won’t take any action that would make it less likely that the Republican will be defeated.

Perhaps, but unlike the economy, crime is something government has more power over and while both Democrats and Republicans in the 90s did a lot to reduce crime with their get tough policies, only Republicans still stand by those policies.

Democrats, on the other hand, apparently are going to let things get like they got in Cologne.

Republicans in the 90’s went through two serial adulterers as Speaker of the House before finally settling on child molester Dennis Hastert, while wasting $40 million dollars investigating Bill Clinton and his consensual relationship with Monica Lewinsky, only to come up empty handed. Eventually, they got Bill on a procedural charge that arose during the investigation.

Real champions of law and order, those hell-bound 90’s Republicans.

And they are now out of politics.

And of course that reminds me of one thing that made many to not give much thought to what the right was telling us about the Clinton, the lies they had to tell in the attempt at getting them where one reason why Bill was not condemned as they were.

And speaking of lies, what you are doing here is indeed a gross rejection of the concept of double jeopardy regarding Clinton. Indeed, you are only a great big example of why your point of the Republicans being in favor of law and order is a bad joke.

Getting lead out of the environment probably had a lot more to do with that than get tough policies.

In terms of overall crime rates, probably, but putting violent criminals behind bars and keeping them there couldn’t have hurt either. And some places, like New York, saw much steeper declines in crime than other places.

Bill Clinton is disgusting. Luckily for me, he’s not running.

The Republicans are idiotic, morally bankrupt, and champions of repulsive policies. Luckily for me, I get to vote against whatever moron they nominate.

So now Democrats’ story is that the First Spouse position does NOT count as experience? Okay, I’ll take it.

When did I say that First Spouse should count as experience? Ms Clinton has years of government experience–but the first reason to vote for the Democratic candidate will be the quality of whichever mediocrity or grotesque your party finally settles on.

The latest from My Jr Senator:

Trying to revive the Benghazi issue is ridiculous & talking of “spanking” a grown woman is rude. But boasting of hitting his young daughter is downright disgusting. Apparently he’s done it more than once.
