You must not get out much if you think everyone leeching is deserving. Many choose to exploit the system and that’s bad. Earned or benefits necessary because of no other choice aren’t the target.

Since you made the charming analogy of likening some of the least privileged and most powerless people in your society to leaches, alow me to carry the analogy a little further.

See, the thing about leaches is that they are really, really small. If you feel you’re suffering from major haemorrhaging, maybe you should look for another culprit.
Look around you. Appraise your circumstances.
Are you lying in a bathtub full of ice? Is there a message in rouge on the bathroom mirror saying “Thanks for the kidneys. Love, corporate America”?

Except that this model has been shown to be disastrous for both individuals and the economy as a whole, instigating a “race to the bottom” that would make the 2007 crash look like a hiccup. But a tiny percentage of rich people would get richer, and I guess that’s all that really matters.
