See, the word “whine” has a auditory component to it’s meaning and while it’s often used on the internet as a way to sound superior and disdainful, it is a misuse, especially since there was nothing childish in my phrasing or attitude.

So? Do you disagree? Indistinguishable, do you mean to describe me in a “matter-of-fact” way when you said I was “whining”? Do you perhaps intend some level of insult? Be honest now.
I don’t really mean to do much anything but 1) playfully mock your disproportionate anger over the word choice, and 2) point out that this thread is an example of doing the sort of thing you complained about in the posts which caused SkipMagic to label you, rightly or wrongly, as whining; that is, we are filling up this thread with posts over a particular joke which has come to dominate it and drive out the substance of those actually addressing OP.

What disproportionate anger? I didn’t even start a Pit thread, just hijacked this, as you noted, perfect example. I said quite plainly and simply that “whine” is pretty much always meant as an insult, “playfully mocking” notwithstanding. SkipMagic and Colibri just seem to like tut-tutting me too much to admit it they were wrong.
