Am I the only one with a splitting SDMB-withdrawal headache?
w00t! We’re back. Load me up!!!
I was a little surprised to see how much time I spend on the SD. I don’t usually think of my internet browsing as being heavily SDMB-oriented, but I just spent 15 minutes staring at the screen hitting refresh every few minutes. Then I did a crossword.
My whole morning routine went down the drain. Now I’ll be in here all day trying to catch up.
I actually got some work done this morning! At a leisurely pace!
I was totally jonesin’–DT’s, the shakes, pink elephants, the whole nine yards.
Ohhh…this morning was awful. I started to have complete withdrawl…boredum, fear of more boredum…
Jerry, whomever you are, thank you for getting us up and running again. Now, please don’t let this happen again!
It did go off-line again, briefly, and I began to suffer from a recurrence of symptoms. : Twitch, twitch :
yeah, my recation was something like this:
noooooooooooooo
deep breath deep breath
it’ll come back, it’ll come back
deep breath, deep breath
It’ll come back.
I went over to the SDMB group on the Goodreads site. No one was posting, but at least I could see some of your dear little names.
Don’t take them from me again, Jerry…I neeeeed 'em.
Fill me up, Mr. McAllister. Oh, God. Fill me up.
Yes, the wife is starting to look at me a little more funny since I signed up and these little “incidents” occur.
Jerry, you rock!
I hope he does. He said the Board was down, then it was up and everyone was praising him, then it was down again. Please make us happy, Jerry.
We were down?
I had a busy morning at work…no chance to check.
Mr. Tambourine Man! Play my song for me!
Is the Dope running on my company’s SAN? Damned thing’s been giving us all kinds of trouble. Well, that and one of our ESX servers. Sheesh. Rains, pours…
Wait, there’s an SDMB group on there? How do I join? I didn’t even know they had groups on that site.
Right here. I think there’s a join group button if you’re not part of the group already.
I’m really glad that I can’t Dope from work. It really is an addiction, isn’t it?
GT
I’m still upset they blocked the Dope at the firm where I currently work. I then found a way to get here through links from another site but, since the server periodically scans for sites visited, it eventually blocked that route too. Grrrrr!
So, basically, I book a PC at the public library around the corner and spend the entirety of my lunch hour surfing. Since we can’t eat at our desks, I have to take frequent “bathroom” breaks in order to actually have something to eat mid-day, since I used my lunch hour for more important stuff.
Let’s just say I’m not a happy camper if, during my 45 minute mid-day check-in, the Dope goes down or times out for any length of time. Every minute is precious.
