…
Sorry, it was meant to be a poll and I screwed it up.
::shrug:: Women!
I vote yes on women.
I came in l(o)(o)king for b(o)(o)bs.
oh, well.
I came here hoping to go swimming in the pool.
OK, well, could you just fill us in on what it was meant to be about? Because I am curious. And possibly offended, but I’m not sure yet.
I’m disappointed he didn’t do the Beaver Song
For women? You mean this one?
<flashes b(o)(o)bs>
I hadn’t seen that one. That was awesome. I love me some objectification.
I was half expecting “My Pussy Belongs to Daddy”…from 1957.
boobies appear in this video, though blurry.
I thought we’d play some pool.
It didn’t work for me. The men being done up in make-up felt like it negated any point of “These men are being objectified for their gender” and more like “Look, these guys are playing the role of the girls”.
To be clear though, I don’t know if the people who made it were looking to create some teachable moment on gender respect or were just goofing off and having fun with the original video concept. All of the “Do you find this objectionable?” tag lines were from media/blog stories I’ve seen about the video, not from the video itself. Entirely possible the video is being sold in other media as something it was never intended to be.
Or maybe it’s a female celebrity death pool?
I’ll never be able to look you in the eyes again.
It’s a parody. It’s supposed to be funny and I think it is. I mean, who doesn’t love men in drag? <3!! I don’t think the artists had any agenda beyond comedic entertainment.
That was my thought. I’d seen it presented in various media outlets as something deeper but watching the video itself made me think it was just some folks goofing around.
I didn’t want to get too deeply into castigating them for doing a poor job of something they were never trying to do in the first place

I agree. It’s listed as a parody, so by definition the purpose is to exaggerate for comedy’s sake. It’s like saying Weird Al is attempting some deep social commentary with “White & Nerdy”.
I do like this version: - YouTube
Sorry, I didn’t see that people had responded to this. I like the Jimmy Fallon version too.
I will forward the Mod Carousel parody to my female friend who fears that the NSFW version has lesbianized her because she thinks of breasts every time she hears the song.
