I had a weird one once, about 5 years ago. I’d had backne as a teen, and I had one little scar nubbin, tiny, smaller than a BB, under the skin on my right shoulder blade. One day in its like 25th year of innocuousness, it started swelling up. Within a few days, it was like half a golfball. When it started spontaneously leaking eclair custard, I went to the doctor. She massaged out a substance that, if I were her, I’d’ve kicked me out the office and called in an exorcist. No problem since then; only a vague shadow of hollowness under the skin in that spot.
Purchase a scapel. Hurts much less than a razor blade.
Of course, have peroxide and betadine on hand.
Oh, and lots of gauze. For packing.
That’s how my MRSA infection started last year…a small little pimple quickly turning into a two-headed boil.
See a doctor…get it checked out.
Usually around one’s thighs. God, those things are nasty-I usually get them from razor bumps-except for the time I got one on my shoulder. 
And damn, do they HURT.
Jeeeeesus. Leave it to the professionals. Please.
How come I can never get the majority of the junk out? I get just enough to ease the pain, then a big hard blob lingers forever…
