Cesar Jesus Sayoc’s Facebook page. The guy’s middle name is Jesus. :dubious:
Why was it updated an hour ago?
Yeah, I think that’s a fake account.
Probably, thanks for noticing, I didn’t check. I wonder where they got his pictures.
It must be. According to the WaPo, the suspect’s middle name is Altieri.
Well, shucks!
I’m glad I only screwed up in this thread.
Cesar Sayoc claims to be Seminole. The tribe claims he’s not a member.
Sayoc has been constantly in and out of trouble. He’s jumped into the big leagues by mailing pipe bombs.

You might want to reread your link about the Collins threat. They caught the person that mailed castor beans to Trump and Mattis and charged him on October 5th. It was just the beans, not ricin. We’re now on to the copycat who’s threat only got as far as writing ricin on the outside of the package.
At this point, there’s no person actually mailing ricin. Given the trend I half expect the next copycat to just write “Rice” on the outside of the package.
The intent is to sow fear and terror into the person who receives the package. Words can be very effective.
That seems to also be the case with the postal pipe bomber. They weren’t armed and didn’t go off.
Maybe because Sayoc intended it that way? Or he was just too stupid to follow directions from the internet. Authorities haven’t decided yet.
Of course no prominent politician gets mail that hasn’t been screened. The people most at risk are the postal workers and package screeners.
You have to be really stupid these days to think you can get away with something like this. Fortunately, that fact allowed the authorities to narrow their search down to Republicans.
Don’t worry, within a day or two, he’ll be offering to pay the guy’s legal fees or pardon him. Or he’ll say it’s fake news or a false flag. Or he’ll say there’s no such place as Opa-Locka. Or all of the above.
It’s a shithole.
What’s that other Florida city? Semenhole?
:dubious:
It’s an understandable mistake. But that is actually the state’s nickname.
