Bon Cop, Bad Cop, Revisited (spoilers yeah)

Previous thread from 2006.

Now that this finally (!) out on DVD and Netflix has it (it was the first thing I put on my Saved list), I got a chance to watch it, being an enormous Colm Feore fan. And it was a lot of fun, I liked it a lot. And I don’t usually like cop/buddy shows. It had a couple of spots of “wait a minute” plot points, but that was okay. It wasn’t meant to be a gritty police procedural, it was meant to be a comedy, I get that.

Real cops working a serial killer case would never allow themselves to appear on TV like that, but in the movie’s reality and setup, it worked. Even the fistfight on camera worked.

Best bit, IMO:

The mascot in the bathroom.

Best line:

You can reset those things?

And I’m going to watch it again before I send it back, and I don’t care how many other Netflix customers are out there tapping their toes impatiently during their “Long Wait”, so nyah. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mainly I wanna go back and pick up who the Tattoo Killer really was. The first victim recognized him and said, “I never wanted to drop you”, so I figured he was one of the traded hockey players or something, but all the “Canadian hockey stuff” went past really fast every time it appeared–for example, it took me a while to figure out that Fleur De Lys was apparently a hockey team.
