Bondage - Romantic Comedy - Movie

I’m trying really hard to think of the name of this movie, but i have nothing. The most obvious thing was that it was a romantic comedy about bondage. this girl cuts herself alot, then her boss figures it out and he starts having sex with her. It’s not normal sex, it always involves some type of bondage. It ends when she stays at her desk for days without eating because he tells her to. It really is a good romantic comedy about weird love though.

What is the name of this movie?

That’d be Secretary!

Sounds like Secretary (2002), which I haven’t seen myself but have heard of. James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Well, there’s so MANY maInstream bondage romantic comedies out there! But scanning ALL the titles out there, I’m gonna guess … Secretary! Call it a crazy hunch!

Everybody beat me to it. Very weird movie.

That would definitely be Secretary, though I didn’t get the vibe that actual sex was involved (at least until the very end during the honeymoon…). The reason he tells her to sit at his desk without moving, is to prove his point that they can’t live like that 24/7 (she just told him she loved him) and she does so to prove that they can, and that she loves him.

I really love this movie.

Or perhaps it was Rio, by Duran Duran.

I figured there could only be one.

Reading the title, I was thinking maybe Bound and Gagged: A Love Story but that doesn’t fit the description in the OP. There was no cutting and the two lovers were both women.

I love it too. It seems weird but they are perfect for one another!

I loves this movie, too. I found it to be the most romantic movie ever- and I’m not much into sub/dom stuff. But I loved them both and wanted them together. Lid for every pot and all.

Great movie- the best part is I think the first time Spader has her bent over his desk, pants off, and then leaves for a few minutes I think…the bemused look on her face, and not knowing what, if anything, is coming next, is great- that, and the full frontal scene of course. Spader starred in the two most bizarre sex movies of the last 15 years- this and Crash (the real Crash, not that bullshit that won the Oscar).

Except for the bondage, I thought it pretty much followed the romantic-movie formula, to its detriment.

They both have quite expressive faces. You can just see the moment he realizes she’s wearing a wedding dress and the panic as she declares her love.

Well, we know it’s not the answer now, but wouldn’t Exit to Eden count as a mainstream bondage romantic comedy?

thinks

Wait, was there any bondage, or was it just a mainstream S&M romantic comedy?

I think this is actually The Emperor’s New Groove.

That’s the movie I thought of when I read the thread title. And yes, Paul Mercurio definitely gets tied up spreadeagle (standing) at one point, and, well . . . I’ll be in my bunk.

Except that it was neither funny, nor romantic.

And don’t forget “Sex, Lies, and Videotape” (which is probably older than 15 years, but an interesting Spader alternative sex movie nonetheless).

Oh comon, I can’t be the only one who laughed at the “French Horns” line or the part where Dan Akroyd is fixing the gong?
