Flyboy. Hahaha. It is 84F here. I live in summer and muggy since it poured and also got buddy’s toy box wet. It was on the porch to get out of the maids way. Well it’s a laundry basket.
I went to the dentist and boy howdy did she ever dig in…”Oh, you have a little bleeding :smack:You think? You are digging in my gums with what amounts to a curved needle and it’s bleeding
Maid day and Hubs is here and puny. Played rough with Buddy wearing my elbow length leather rosebush gloves. He loves it and hates the vacuum and barks at Radka the maid. I was gonna take him to the dog park but mud.
I guess I live in a hamlet or Key. Unincorporated island 30 miles from Key Weird. Grocery store, two drug stores an Ace hardware store. Not much here. Banks galore. Population 5000. Love it.
Rosies sig. She is on my mind lately and I always think she passed due to Trump cause she was voting when she had the accident that precipitated all that.
It might literally be freezing here, but I’m just four miles south of the 49th Parallel. Cross that line, and the Canadians are already in their ‘six months of darkness’ time. Everyone lives in igloos, of course. The igloos glow prettily against the plains of snow, while polar bears wander the streets.
Back from skool a bit early, as this afternoon’s lecture got cancelled. Extremely soggy and a bit chilly.
Not the best day, I decided as skool was out early I’d drive into the nearby town to get bank stuff sorted (they couldn’t do it at the little local branch), and offered to drop some other stoodints off, so they wouldn’t get wet waiting for the bus and would get there faster. Halfway there a roe deer appeared out of nowhere and thumped into the car. I was only doing probably about 25mph, and roe deer are barely above knee high, so I only have a small dent in the car (on the driver’s side, it literally ran into the car); the deer came off worse, I think. It managed to stumble into some bushes then collapsed, so we tried to call some animal rescue place, as it was clearly hurt, but couldn’t get through. About 20 minutes later, the bus had gone past, we were all drenched to the skin, still hadn’t got through on the phone, when the deer vanished from the bushes and we couldn’t find it, so gave up.
Anyway, bank stuff now sorted, I hope Ms Deer’s day improved. I still need to head back out in the yucky weather to get some milk, having forgotten while coming home.
Howdy Y’all! Provisions lied in, chores accomplished, and we have a functionin’ kitchen sink. YAY!!! In a couple of hours I can put stuff back on the kitchen counter where said stuff lives. I’m supposed to wait twenty-fours before doin’ that and the twenty-four hours will be up then. Sup shall be salmon patties, peas, smashed N.O.T., and bizkits, just cause I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for that.
I never thought of that --------------- this last hour.
I actually got some West View Park matches off the guy earlier this month. For some reason I decided to check “other items” on some of the people I’ve bid with and there it was. When I contacted him about the size and if he was serious my comment was "Well, worse comes to worse, I DO have matches handy now.
THEY SHOULD HAVE WON AND GONE HOME DAYS AGO!!! What the hades happened to them?
Ruble, until last night, I thought they’d just given up. So it’s all down to one game…
It’s starting to rain - thankfully it held off till I left the office, since I’d left my windows open.
Supper will be chickie strips, sides TBD. I thought about doing chickie and dumplinz, but it sounds like too much work. If it was just **FCD **and me, we’d be going out to eat. But it’s not, so we won’t.
My prediction, & you can bank on this: Whichever team wins tonight will be the World Series champion.
Uggh, stuck inside the building at client’s site until we all go to happy hour. I’d rather go back to the hotel or at least outside for a walk. Due to security, we officially need to be escorted anywhere, that includes the loo.
The neighbors are mostly moved out. The landlord stopped by to see how they were doing and sort of apologized to them for his wife’s behavior. He’s a nice man and from what I hear she is making life a living hell for everybody around her.
I couldn’t hear the whole conversation, and I wasn’t really trying to. He was standing on the ground and the neighbor was standing on the second floor porch, so kind of hard not to hear them.
I wonder if anybody has suggested that she go see a doctor. Something triggered the crazies; menopause, diabetes (my father turned into a real SOB when he got diabetes, as did a friend’s father), a brain tumor…
As long as she sells the house and doesn’t move into it, not my problem. From what I hear, she is selling it.
Kind of gloomy outside today. The dogs want me to sit outside with them, but I don’t want to.
Howdy Y’all! Sup has been supped. ‘Tis rainin’ out so I guess the folks at the “Trunk or Treat” (I really don’t like that name) are usin’ the indoor option. Candy beggars on the loose inside… Oh well, we’re inside and dry and candy beggerless so it’s all good here.
Instead of strips, I did battered nuggies - it was pretty good, but the batter didn’t stick. The chickie chunks were too wet, I think. But it was tasty. Sides were sweet N.O.T.s, buttered noodles, and green beans. The few leftovers will be Roxy’s lunch tomorrow.
Dishes are done, greasy stove is clean, ice maker is making ice, and I’m about to assume the position on my recliner. It’s been a busy day and I’s tahred…
My neurologist thinks I’ve got a non-healing tear somewhere around my brain or down around my spinal column. I’m supposed to have a multi-hour MRI while they go look for it. In the meantime, I’m supposed to avoid bending and twisting. Tomorrow the movers are bringing the rest of our stuff. I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to do this. Stay laying down, when I can. Drink as much water as I can.
The Nats beat the Dodgers. I’m not sure whether to root for them or not. On the other hand, I like their fans. Go Nats!
Evening all. Rain lasted all day so except to get the newspaper in this morning and the mail int he afternoon, it was a homebound day in Casa Rat. Tonight brings more rain and tomorrow…rain expected…
Planning on doing the November shopping tomorrow morning so I’m in the house for T or T. Even made out my list.
No particular rooting interest in the World Series, probably watch Atlanta play soccer on ESPN.
Sunny, hope they can get to the bottom of it. I think I said before, my mom lived with constant pain the last 15 years of her life and it was miserable (for her mostly but it got to us, too).
Dinner was Fettuchini Alfredo ala Lean Cusine.
Sari, good luck with whoever your new neighbors are.
peaches, Sis had a vent hole issue in the half bath in her house that didn’t get fixed for a couple of years. Guess what one of her retirement projects is?
Mooooooom, is that the sister with the colorful hair?
I didn’t get off irk until almost six. I picked Nelson up at the new daycare. They said that he did well. I also talked to my neighbor who works there. She told me that if I needed to leave earlier than daycare opens or stay later at irk than they close, to give her a call and she would do pick up/drop off. Tomorrow should be an earlier day, provided that no one decides to add to the irk. Friday, I plan on bugging out around 1:30.
I wish we could share pets pics a little more easily here. I’d love to see how Nelson, Echo, Ripple, and Buddy (and all others I may have missed). Ariel! I want to see Ariel.
