BOO! It's A Hallowe'en MMP

then leave it to me.

Home, two hrs late. Missed ToT. :frowning: A day at home & then off again for another wickend.
Wore a hockey jersey home, but not at the client site. (Mine is #31, which is much more appropriate.)

Happy Halloween!

nettie, I know that it’s too late for this year, but if you want a really simple candy recipe try mixing a 13-16 oz jar of peanut butter with one can of sweetened condensed milk. Once mixed, roll them into balls and dip them into the chocolate of your choice. They are a homemade version of a peanut butter cup.

Well, my Halloween was scary as hell. I got off irk a the normal time (Yay!), came home and found that I had ransomeware on my desktop. I called a friend who is an IT guy and he got me fixed, but meanwhile, I canceled any cards that I have used online. I will go to the CU tomorrow to order a new card from them and selectively replace the others (I needed to cull some). That’s going to be a PITA come bill paying time.

I was at the grocery store and I was going to compliment the cashier on her sexy cowgirl costume but then I thought maybe that was just her cowgirl costume and I have an overly active imagination so I just shut up.

¶u¢k! I think I may have just lived thru my first tornado!
I just happened to have my phone sitting next to me when it lit up (only) with a tornado alert. A couple of mins later it got real noisy, freight train like noisy! The lights started flickering. When I looked out the front window, I could see the rain blowing one way under the streetlight across the street, then the other way, along with some behind-the-clouds flashes of lightning. County dispatch is blowing up, including a fire investigation in the next neighborhood!

TWO incidents with USAR teams being requested.

holy crap spidey i saw a headline that said part of the country was on tornado watch …

as for TOT we had about 4 dozen kids in about 2 hours the most we’ve had in years … relatives we hadnt seen since last year came over treats and food was consumed and a pleasant evening was had by all …

Someone was ringing the bell at 4am, repeatedly. I don’t know you, I’ve got no idea who the hell are you and if you don’t know the gate code you probably have no right to be let in, so fuck off.
It’s wet but less cold than these last few days. Today we’re having a team lunch at an actual restaurant nearby, and after that I’ve got Plans to go buy a thick knit sweater or two. Such a life of dissipation…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 38 Amurrkin out (feels like 36 accordin’ to TWPTB) and clear, with a predicted high of ONLY 63 and N.O.S. for the day. I’ll need long pants and a long sleeve shirt when I go out and about! The plan of the day is to go take care of some [del]church janitor[/del] Junior Warden chores, get a haircut, and brave :eek:Wally*World:eek: in search of cheap chawklit and to buy a bag or two of dawg food. The local shelter is in need of dawg food, so I’ll get some and take it to the church house. From there it will be delivered to the shelter. Sup shall be majik intartoobz pizza and sallit (to make it healthy).

Spidey I do believe you were in or around a tornado. Hope everything is OK and not too much damage was done. Tornados be scary!

Shades glad a good time was had by all.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. And then, alas, alack, and oh so much bother, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Why must bein’ an adult be so hard!

Happy Firday Y’all! Also, Happy All Saints Day.

We had a power outage overnight - not surprising, considering the winds I heard. What did piss me off, tho, was the co-op robo-calling at 1AM to ask if we had power. I need to see if I can opt out of such calls.

Crazy winds are done and the temps are mid-40s. MIL called in a panic last night because she heard there might be tornadoes in this general area of the country. And if there were, so?? It’s not like we’d be dashing off to Ocala. She’s a sweet lady, but very odd when it comes to weather.

Once when our daughter was on a cruise (FL and Bahamas), MIL called to tell us there was a tropical storm in the southern Caribbean - practically at South America - and wanted to know if there was any way we could call our daughter. Um, yeah, so she could maybe tell the captain about the weather hundred of miles away???

Anyway, I’ve reset most of the clocks and I downloaded some stuff to my tablet to entertain Roxy while we’re at the credit union. We’ve got an appointment with our financial guy and everyone is working, so Roxy goes with us. Afterwards, she and I will run some errands. It should be an interesting day.

Happy Firday!!! Happy 1th of November!!

I’m not one to throw my good financial fortune in everyone’s face, but I can’t help this brag. I just checked my bank balance and I earned FOURTEEN CENTS in interest in my checking account in October! Beat that, bitches!!!

We had some winds and some damage but nothing like that much. We personally got hit harder in the ones back in August.

Four inches of snow kept the trick or treaters away. I think I have bronchitis so staying home from irk. I may even cancel my riding lesson tomorrow.

Drinks are on Mooom!

I’m off out to pick up a prescription and get stabbed in the arm, then do some shopping, then go back to Uni. We have a 4 hour timetable gap on Fridays, and I got bored of just hanging round there.

I’m not sure anyone would want a drink that cost 14¢. In fact, I’m not sure what it would be…

No matter - I’m showered and dressed, I cleaned the kitchen and the dishwasher just finished running. I downloaded some stuff to my tablet to amuse Roxy while we’re at the Credit Union. I’m hoping the appointment will be short and sweet - pretty much what we need to discuss is what to do with my 401k when I re-retire next month. Plus we need to decide if it’s time to draw on one of our annuities or to hold off. Decisions, decisions…

Doesn’t look like we were calling for Auntie Em in our county but possibly the next county over.
However, in a nearby town a 42" diameter tree that was in the back yard of a house in now in the house. FD had to do some pruning just to be able to get to the front door. Part of the roof is now on the second floor & part of the second floor is now on the first floor.  It took about an hour to extract the two elderly residents that were asleep in their second floor bedroom, partially because they had to shore up parts of the house before making entry.

Some local skools is closed today.

Swampy, I didn’t know you were coming North this weekend.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Last night it was in the 70s. This morning it was 40 when I took Gordie out. Hockey tonight.

 There’s a guy at the arena who has one of those(he actually has 50+, and wears a diffrent one every game).

We had a warning to the north of here.

I didn’t have a single Trick-or-Treater last night! Besides the snow, it got really cold. So much so, in fact, that my windows were frozen and my car door frozen this morning. I never scrape my windows, so I had to run the car with the defroster on full blast for about 15 minutes before I could drive to work.

Tap waters all round!

We usually don’t get any Trick-or-Treaters, but we put the zombie, the ‘Trick-or-Treat’ sign, and a jack o’lantern out in the the yard every year. Last night we had a group of four; three unicorns and an evil clown.
