As some of you remember, Aaron will be celebrating his first birthday on August 1st, and we can’t think of a better bunch to celebrate with.
Of course, we’re going to be in San Antonio for his actual birthday, so this party is going to be a week late, on August 9th.
So, we’re having a birthday Dopefest for the first Thoroughbred Doper on August 9th, at Fabulous Castell Zappo (motto: James Lileks would kill for this house!) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The menu will be:

[li]Burgers and dogs, with veggie patties thrown in for the veggies among us[/li][li]Various cold, mayonnaise-based salads, and if you think I’m gonna make them myself again, you’re insane.[/li][li]A nice fruit salad[/li][li]Mun-cheez[sup]TM[/sup][/li][li]Assorted condiments (no condom jokes, you sickies!), pickles, burger vegetables[/li][li]And, of course, birthday cake and ice cream. The cake will be homemade. Mom insists on this point.[/li][/ul]
Anyone requiring directions may e-mail myself or Zappo, and we’ll be happy to tell you where to go.
You know we’re already planning on it. The only possible problem is that it might be the weekend of Verrain’s sister and mother’s birthday parties (their birthdays are the 3rd and the 6th). However, they usually do Sunday dinners so it still should be doable.
We may either need to snag a ride with someone passing this way or ask someone to pick us up at Greyhound or Amtrak.
My participation is also very well assured and I will be bringing TruePisces, Verrain, and possibly Cleophus along with me.
Now, this is all provided that I don’t end up getting guinea worms or some other fun ailment while I’m in the DEEP south.
Great, why is it that all the parties are on weekends when I will be going the other way? I might be able to make it, but I was planning on being in Columbus on the 9th.
