Born to Run - Springsteen autobiography

I’m a lifelong Springsteen fan and I pre-ordered his new autobiography. I am about 5 chapters in and really enjoying it. Some of the things that I like so far:

[ul]
[li]Reading it in my head in his voice. If you’ve seen him interviewed a few times it’s not hard to do.[/li][li]Subtle references to his songs peppered through the descriptions of his early life. [/li][li]The honesty about his family’s (especially his father) struggles with mental illness.[/li][li]The revelation that “The River” was written about his sister (this may be already well-known, but not by me)[/li][/ul]

So far it seems to be a brutally honest account; but told with the confidence of a man who has come to grips with his past.

Good to hear. I’ve downloaded it onto my Kindle but haven’t had a chance to start it yet.

The companion CD is kinda neat, too.
