:eek:BooFae:eek:
Blurf Got to irk a few minutes late as I overslept. I am here though. I don’t know what the day holds as we are in a 2 week slow period. In June they will be here in droves.
I have requested to have all next week off except Moanday. That will give me a week as the following Moanday is a holiday. So technically I am using 32 leave hours but will be paid for the holiday and earn 6 so not too shabby for a full week. I am doing a staycation which means movies, reading and sleeping and house work and cooking.
Hubby will like the cooking part as we have been eating a bunch of convenience foods like last night was hotdogs. We need proper food.
I’ve spent the last hour and a half uploading my resume onto various sites and then I found a typo. :smack: Now I have to go back and make sure it wasn’t on all the other versions I uploaded.
Laundry has been completed and the cee-mint pond has been cleanded and salt and algaecide added. Go Me! Foragin’ for N.O.L. is up next to be followed by some quality cee-mint pond time methinks.
Yes, we do still have army bomb disposal units - good job really, since we keep finding bombs for them to sort out! Some of it is done with robots, I think a lot of the initial inspection work is robotic but these old 'uns need a careful hand to sort them out.
There was another one recently in Hannover where about 10% of the population had to be evacuated until it could be made safe.
We are supposed to have a controlled detonation for this one but it’s in a tough position being so close to the major road through the city and also one of the country’s busiest motorways.
And it has 500 Lbs of explosive in it.
Wow.
:eek:Boofae I’d be finding a safer place to be.
I expect every country has at least one branch of the military to do bomb disposal. That’s kinda part of the job…
Lunch is about done. I’m doing drawings for my boss and he’s not here today. He’s done some weird stuff and I need to talk to him about it. Much as I hate saying this: “It’s not the way we do things here.” If he wants to change the paradigm, that’s fine, but I need direction. I’m just a drafter and it’s not my place to make such decisions. I’ll grab him tomorrow and try to straighten it all out.
Still awake, but only just, I don’t do well on 6-ish hours of sleep. <yawn>
I was sitting in the window seat right now and **A TICK **crawled on me. They’re so bad this year, they’re coming inside the house.:mad:
:eek:Waterspout just offshore. A waterspout is a tornado over water FYI.
In from quality cee-mint pond time. Water is still coolish but feels good! Anywho, I am all showered and think I will betake myself to the Pubic Sto’ shortly. I need a few items plus I’s hungry so I shall get me a fried chikin takeout dindin from there. I likes Pubic Sto’ fried chikin.
Butters be safe!
Will this be the first post on page two? The suspense is killin’ me!
ETA: YES! First on two! It’s good to be juvenile!
ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK
A blustery, rainy day here in Orygun. Hubby is off to CA today.
BooFae stay safe!
BigKitty - ewwwwww. I hate ticks.
Butters enjoy the vacation!
I don’t see how women, who go through rather horrible painful thinks like lunar cycles and childbirth, are so upset by bugs.
Not bugs - ticks. There’s a significant difference. I don’t freak out about spiders, roaches, ants, caterpillars, bees (except for those damned yellow jackets), flies, or even fleas. But ticks are in a disgusting class by themselves and they serve no useful purpose in the world!
Home. Tahred. Salad and ravioli for supper. I also got some vanilla bean ice cream to go under some local strawberries.
I don’t like them because I’m the one that has to deal with them! Someone finds a tick on the dog/cat/self - calls me to remove it. Bleah. Because we all love removing bloated, blood-filled, nasty bugs from the skin of other people and our pets.
Happy Toosday!
It’s a nice, Warm, N.O.S. day.
I overslept and got a late start. We finally made it to the UPS store to drop off the lawnmower. Most annoying as the one in town is closed - as in building for rent closed. You’d think the website would be taken down. Then we got lost going to the other one because the name of the road changed, but Google directions didn’t tell us that. So we drove around in circles for a while but at least it was a nice drive as we were out in the country.
I wanted to stop at Waffle House for lunch but my son doesn’t want to go anywhere where there isn’t a drive through window so we went to Burger King instead.
Then I had to pay bills. One was due today, and I almost missed it. It’s a hospital bill so no interest or late charge, however, it you are late they can demand the entire amount.
Sah-son did a little trimming out front and got the back yard mowed.
I’ve spent part of the morning looking up Shar-pei and Ori-Pei Rescues. I couldn’t help it, one of the people I play WWF with has a shar-pei picture and every time I see it I miss my boy.
This is the first time I haven’t had surviving dogs. It’s been hard to pack up everything. I’m giving all the leftover food, shampoos, and stuff to a friend. If I ever do get another dog, I’ll want to buy all new stuff anyway.

Adam is a big scardy cat. I was sitting out front talking with the neighbor yesterday and Adam was pushing at the door. I let him out and he just freaked. Too much noise and activity out there. The final straw was when a bird landed to close to him, he dove under my neighbor’s chair. She said I should have seen his eyes, they were so wide. So I scooped him up and put him in. He came over and looked out the door but when I opened it he ran further into the house. Good, I want him to be afraid to go outside.
I’ve also been checking out the Marie Kondo videos, I’m inspired to start purging and organizing.
I went to the Pubic Sto’ bought a few items I needed and got me a fried chikin dindin which I have since [del]inhaled[/del] ingested. I was hungry! I took a hunk o’ beast outta da freezer to cook for dindin tomorrow. I will make OYKW a nice welcome home meal. OK, he’s been at his mom’s place and she, all the aunts, etc have kept him well fed I am sure this past week.
It’ll be good to have him back however. I have missed the critter.
Sari maybe you should introduce Adam Cat to The Birds. I have to admit that movie still gives me the creeps.
Yikes, boofae! The most interesting thing I’ve ever dug up were geodes and arrowheads.
swampy, while the Pubic Sto’ makes good fried chicken, you gotta try their Mojo Poke.
Another Toosday. The floors are swept and mopped. Tonight, I’ll finish scanning some old pics for a project in the studio.
All the better to find them and kill them.
