Maybe err towards the age part.
If you are not ready for a relationship with a woman near your age, then you are probably not ready for a relationship at all. I’m not gonna buy “I’m emotionally stunted, so it’s okay if I just take my pick of the young’uns.” Get your maturity up to speed, and then start thinking about what you have to offer to a woman in a relationship.

I thought she was older than it turned out she was. (No, I definitely won’t be telling her that.) The real problem is that while I was just having some fun and hanging out, she was a little more serious. I’m a little older, wiser, and more experienced in the ways of romance than even a year ago, and I didn’t realize until recently just how inexperienced she is. When I realized things were a little too real for her, well… I realized this wasn’t going to end well and I was better off
The “dance” is a masquerade ball, actually. I just just didn’t feel like blabbing everything.
The good news is that I am a lot less shy and certainly got some charm going now.
