I helped a group of people in a wagon and it was comical how they reacted when going over bumps and hills, screaming and yelling out whenever the car tipped a bit.
This game has done the almost impossible:
It has given me a chance to play Breath of the Wild for the first time…again.
I love how people ask for your help and then immediately start screaming as you build things around them. I helped out some guy who fell in a hole and he freaked out because my hot air balloon was moving too fast.
I’ve still only got 4 hearts, but I went for stamina for my first 8 shrines. I did not enjoy the horses in botw so I decided stamina would work better for the way I play. I know I don’t play “smart”, but I like the running around and discovering all sorts of things. I try to ignore things I know I’m not up to because I know I’ll get back to them later.
I went back into the depths and used my bright bloom seeds everywhere. I avoided almost all monsters and picked up quite a few bomb flowers and a bunch of those mushrooms that cause confusion. I use those on arrows and it helps me with the easier monsters. I didn’t go everywhere, but I made a little progress down there.
I’m not a terrific carpenter. My additions to the President Hudson signs have been terrible. I can’t believe two of them worked. This game makes me laugh. And pound my fist a little too.
I am off work until Monday so I’m going to get in a lot of hours of game play.
My fingers are going to be sore and I’m going to need new controllers.
Well, I haven’t faced a boss, but did you open up any fairy fountains? I believe the Woodland Stable one is the first one and I was able to do some minor upgrades on some minor armor to make them a bit better.
How many hearts do you have? I’m at 7 hearts and two stamina slices additional.
Rupees appear to be harder to get in this game. I don’t see a ton of ore deposits out there and a lot of common ores are just not available in this game as widely.
I am hearing hunting and selling meals is a good way, but I’m not sure.
I just reached my first dungeon of the game. I’m happy to report the dungeon maps look more like standard Zelda, none of this annoying 3D-hologram stuff.
The world feels so much more alive compared to BotW. I’m finding some many NPCs just wandering around. I met someone on the road who marked my map for some treasures, followed it, and found some new armor.
The wells are an interesting touch! I’m also pleased to see that the bokoblins haven’t dropped their habit of dancing between raging bonfires and barrels of explosive material.
Mine was probably the easiest version of one. He had the brown Bokoboblins on him and I took that as an indication he is easier. I killed all of them and then just kind of did it. I pushed ascend and slammed the A button until he ascended.
