I think Ryle Dup went +1 on his last post, but I am fast losing track of the amendments and corrections offered. So I’d ask that you repost your entire current answer set as a more prudent way of bringing your total number of correct answers to my attention.
I think these are the only two questions not answered correctly so far. I’ll have a go.
- I own St. James, Tennessee, New York, Kentucky, and Indiana. You land on New York and then roll a 4. What’s the total rent I get?
$50
22. In brief, what the heck was the problem with cell thirteen?
In the book, The Problem with Cell 13, Professor Van Dusen is challenged to find a way out of the notorious Chisholm Prison, an impossible task. Van Dusen accepts the challenge. Wearing nothing but his shirt, trousers, socks and shoes, Van Dusen is given one week to escape. The story is the intrigue-filled adventure of how Van Dusen escapes from Cell 13. (Googled, obviously)

Hey! As a lifelong mystery lover, with a special interest in “impossible” crimes, I take personal offense at you IGNORING my correct answer much earlier in this thread! I even got it without a single glance at Google!
Pistols at dawn! whap!
Also, if you ever read the short story (NOT a book), which I recommend, you’ll find out that Ryle Dup also gave a correct answer.
Total amendments:

By the way, here’s some commentary that may be helpful:
In my examples, one question was: “Is the quality of mercy strained?”
Person A: “Yes.”
Person B: “No.”
Person C:“You’re referring to Portia’s speech in ‘Merchant of Venice’.”
Person D: “No, it’s not strained, it falleth as gentle rains from the heavens.”
Who gets a credit for a correct answer?
Not A. He was flat-out wrong. Not B. Although his answer is correct, it lacks the context to show he knew what I’m talking about.
Not C either, surprisingly. C’s answer shows the context, exactly correctly… but FAILS TO ANSWER THE ACTUAL QUESTION.
D would get credit. D might be safer to include some words about Shakespeare or Merchant in his answer, but there’s very little chance he posted that line without knowing where it came from. He answered both the actual question and the context.
Now, replace Shakespeare with Jacques Futrelle, and see where it gets you.

The two remaining unanswered questions may be more my fault in phrasing than anything else.
Hints… I haven’t given anyone credit yet for a question in which MaryEFoo has come closest to getting what I’m looking for. The only hint I can give is that if I ask a question in German, the answer might have to be in German. If I ask a question in German and English, maybe replying in both languges is safest.
The other question to which I haven’t given anyone credit is, I am beginning to think, suffering from being too obvious or stupid a thing. But one of the previous Challenges might be instructive. I asked about going to J.P. to get married, and, while there were other parts to the question, I wanted the answer to include what a J.P. was. So if I have asked an actual question, make sure that, in addition to your explanation, you have answered it, even if it’s a stupid or obvious answer.
If I said that I thought you needed a passport to visit New Mexico, and asked what New Mexico was and why I might think that, you’d be safest in replying that you don’t need a passport if you’re in the US, that New Mexico is one of the fifty United States, but that my confusion may have arisen from the fact that the similarly-named Mexico is a different country and might require a passport to visit.
And that’s the last of the hints…
