Bring 'em back alive!

I am almost totally unversed when it comes to the Sci-Fi genre in general (both on TV and in movies) but I really liked most of the individual episodes of the “new” Outer Limits that was on a few years back.

It often had some great actors as guest stars, and featured some really good (if typically dark, with a bleak, pessimistic outlook on human nature) writing, sometimes based on short stories by respected authors like Issac Asimov or Ray Bradbury.

When it was on, I feel it never really got a fair shake, as it would be shown at the oddest times (3pm on saturday afternoons?) and even then the time-slot would be changed with no warning, making it impossible to really get a footing with the audience, but I still think it was a very entertaining series, and one that you could enjoy a single episode at a time, without having to have watched the series since the pilot episode to understand what was going on, like with other Sci-Fi shows such as Lost or Fringe.

This. Or Freaks and Geeks.

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo
alright, a snarky answer. But the theme song was catchy as hell “A man whom treats your things as if they were his own”.

Firefly, of course.
Deadwood.
Wonderfalls. Poor show didn’t even have a chance; cancelled after four freakin’ episodes. I’ve watched the entire series on DVD, and it was just hitting its stride, IMO.
Freaks and Geeks. I want to know what happened to Lindsey after her Dead Head summer.

Star Trek the original series. Before the first cancelation, and let it run for at least 5 years total. I know we just did a thread on this, but ST:TOS was shunted off to die, then tortured to death.

So, which one do you choose?

How about a reboot of The Pretender?
AND Northern Exposure. I looooved that show.

I can’t pick just one!

Brimstone. Canceled just as things were getting interesting.

Greg the Bunny. Hilarious, and tragically short-lived.

He is our Sheriff Lobo,
Mighty Sheriff Lobo,
Heart-of-gold old Lobo,
<can’t remember the last line>

Pushing Daisies
He and She

Pushing Daisies

Tales Of The Gold Monkey.

Crusade, of course.

Frank’s Place.

Mystery Science Theater 3000

Whose Line Is It Anyway

To avoid the obvious (Firefly) I’ll say:
*
My So Called Life*

So much potential. It was ahead of it’s time.

Firefly, or Deadwood.

This.

Invader Zim

It was just hitting its stride when Nickelodeon pulled the plug. On Cartoon Network it would have thrived.
