I know what you mean Doggio - it’s better not to look, although ‘Rocky’ is cute.
The animal shelter up here doesn’t list adoption fees.
At his time it’s still just a thought.

We have snow.
**sari **- keep that white crap in your own neighborhood!
Egg salad is made. Vacuum has sucked up the worst of the stuff on the carpet and floor. Higgs is outside barking at… who knows what… **FCD **is on his way home so we can go out to lunch.
Definitely a good day.

Sari I think $250 is high for an adopted cat. But if you like her, go for it.
Daughter came home sick from school yesterday. She’s not at school today, which means they won’t let her attend the dance. She’s going to be unhappy. Stoopid migraines!
I am also fighting a migraine today. I think it’s all the storms coming and going out. I feel like a human barometer.
I should get up and clean the house. But I’m going to have quiet time just a bit longer.
Blurf!

doggio, as a native Hoosier who has lived in Tennessee for twenty years now, I still get the damn yankee thing.
sari, $250 isn’t out of line for a breed specific rescue purebred around here.
It’s Firday! It looks like I’ll be here all day though. This evening has a stop for a CO2 cartridge for the SodaStream and a haircut. I’m thinking either Mexican or Thai for supper.
It appears that the crazy cat lady across the hall has moved out. She was a roommate to the remaining tenant (who’s a bit strange and a PITA herself) All of the crap on the deck and the landing is gone as well as her car. No more middle of the night vacuuming noises!
Are you annoyed when people call you “Ma’am”?
The mere thought of voluntarily giving away a perfectly good hoard of TP is probably enough to sense a certain Jawjan to the fainting couch!
Probably less annoyed than when people call you “Ma’am”, Ma’am.
Despite growing up south of the Mason-Dixon line, I never considered myself to be southern, nor do I care either way. That war was long over before my family crossed the ocean.
We had lunch at DQ - I like their mushroom swiss burger and **FCD **got a foot-long chili dog. It was a frightening-looking thing! Then again, I don’t like chili or raw onions. It was rather funny that they brought him a knife and fork to eat it!
After eating, we got Higgs’ stuff from the vet, then drove down to find the Amish guy advertising pole barn construction. We left a phone number with his father-in-law, so here’s hoping he calls back tonight. We want a carport for the truck and we’ve got a quote for one of those metal structures. I’d prefer a pole barn, provided it’s not a whole lot more expensive. So we shall see.
My sweetie is napping, as are all the critters in the house. It’s sunny but very windy out, so it’s nice to be snugly indoors. It’s been a good day so far!
What I’m tired of is people calling me “Sir,” or the French equivalent, “Monsieur.”
Why would they do that?
:dubious:
BLURF Tis been a very long day today. I did manage to get a few things done. I have had a headache for about three days and 800 mg ibuprofen doesn’t touch it. I think it is sinus with the weird weather we are having. It is up in the high 70’s today.
TGI FIRDAY. I have an appointment to get my hair done tomorrow and that is really all I have planned for the weekend. That and some sleep.
Howdy Y’all! It’s been a busy day for da bear. However, it is now over and I hereby declare it the weekend! Dindin shall be roast chikin with baby carrots, red N.O.T., green beans, and rolls. Plus, there’s cake! I baked a chawklit sheet cake with chawklit icin’. YUM!
{{{rosie}}} so sorry for your loss.
MOOOOOOM glad you have a stash of tp. However, you do need to work on the emergency supply.
Now that my mom is on FIOS, helping her via Team Viewer is so easy! When she had satellite internet, there was an annoying delay. But now it’s instant.
She finally got dug out today, and my sister is taking her out tonight to get some groceries and go out for dinner. I’m sure she’s relieved. Now she just needs clearance to be able to drive, and she’ll be happy.
The household is snoozing. Quiet afternoon…
I myself prefer CostCo for the TP stock up. Get a case of the stuff all at once. I also stock up on cases of paper towels and paper napkins. I am all set on the paper goods side of things.
Haircut tomorrow. Laundry. Always laundry.
The big question is - what’s for dinner tonight? I’ve got to start working my way through a cook book or something. I’m feeling a little stuck in a rut for meals.
(snickering)
I really need to get more into paying attention to sales and using coupons. Too bad the distance is prohibitive, I could use a coach on that.
I think is going to be a fun evening. The cable and internet are wonky and there are cable trucks front and back working on things.
I wish I could see out front from here because
The little bitch next door shoveled out a spot and put a bench in it to save it. The cable truck moved the bench and took the spot. So little bitch moved the chair from the spot across the street and took that spot, only it is a smaller spot and she doesn’t fit. She is halfway in the street, turning the two lanes into one.
Traffic is backing up out there and I imagine when the person across the street comes home, he or she isn’t going to be too pleased that somebody else took their spot.
Of course legally nobody owns any spot, but respect dictates that you don’t take the spot another person worked so hard to shovel out.
I hope little bitch gets her ass kicked. Or at least a ticket for blocking traffic.
Of course I don’t know how it will go here.
In Baltimore, it would be sit out on the porch with popcorn and beer time.
Dindin has been ingested. NUM! If’n I do say so myself. OYKW is preparin’ to have a soak in the tub. Life is good here at da cave. Plus, there’s cake and ice cream for later!
I’ve had insomnia for the last three days. It’s catching up to me bad today. Hopefully that means I’ll sleep all night tonight.
The worst thing is I feel guilty about being too tired to write, but I know if I tried I’d just end up deleting it all anyway. Best to let the ol’ subconscious work it out.
I am disappointed in you Sari, you didn’t call the non-emergency # & put a chair in front of the window while eating popcorn?
Supper was a piece of leftover lasagna because it was fast and easy and I didn’t feel like making anything that required effort. Two minutes in the microwave was effort enough!
