Howdy Y’all! Two down and three to go. YAY! I actually had a good day today. All my appointments were on time, not a whole lot of traffic and mild out but cloudin’ up. Now I await OYKW’s arrival in about an hour so we can go ingest Mexican comestibles. I’s hongree so I am in need of a snack to tide me over. Mayhaps some crackers.

The new cat is extremely heavy and fat. (No, we’re not abusing her or feeding her too much - she came that way. And yes, she is on a diet.) She’s really nice, though she gets startled easily.

That resembles Mama Plant’s couch, and she had trained the cats to sit on a towel when they were on the couch.
**Midget **- from the way you described her, I expected Jabba the Cat! My sister had a big hairy blob named Fat Tony, and he was, and another friend had a Mr. Franklin who was huge! Penny should be relatively easy to trim down, compared to some I’ve seen. She does look like a lover!
Amazingly, it’s about 55° at the moment! Considerable meltage everywhere!! I can see some grass in my yard - not a lot, but a few spots, so yay!
I finally got some work to do after lunch, and I have a couple of easy things pending for tomorrow. I asked my boss for work - Hah - that was an exercise in futility. He tells us not to be surfing the web, but he doesn’t give us anything to do. Insanity!
**FCD **has an appointment with his surgeon tomorrow and he’ll get the pre-surgical testing done. Assuming all goes well, his back will get fixed next Weds. One of the guys who cleared our driveway had the same surgeon and possibly the same procedure from the way he described it. He was very pleased. So that’s a good sign.
Thus endeth the second Monday of my week. No mail today, no FedEx - no surprise either way.

She doesn’t look too fat in that picture, maybe because she’s lying down, but she is very fat and heavy. So much so that when I have to carry her somewhere, I can’t even hold her, I have to just sort of lift her briefly.
I made cookies this afternoon. I was worried the cat would get into them, but she behaved for the most part.
**Lily **- the MMP is an on-going, started new thread every Monday morning, and pretty much all of us have nicknames, just because that’s the way we are. Some make sense, some are a stretch, just ask if you don’t know who’s who. If you hang around, you’ll figure it out eventually.
We’re keeping MPSIMS neat and tidy by confining our inanity to this series of threads. Feel free to chime in and join the fun. We’re harmless. You can trust me, because, I’m nice, dammit!

I have a sad. A friend who has been dealin’ with colon cancer for a long time died yesterday. It was not an unexpected thing but still sad. RIP Tom.

Emily, Penny is beautiful! And I have cohabitated with fatter cats (in my defense, it’s hard to put just one cat in a multi-cat household on a diet).
So after the new security regs a couple of months ago, today was the first day that I’ve had my coffee mug out on my desk. According to my boss, we’re a much more efficient and genial group when we’re fully caffeinated.
Time to eat cake then go to bed. MWAH!

I’m in a food rut. The only thing I really want to eat lately is pineapple. And Almond Roca. I had fish and rice and veggies for dinner and now I am grumpy about it.
