Homer has a thought bubble about material posessions- a convertible, and a sweater. Suddenly, Buddha is wearing the sweater and driving the car. He says something like
“Give up your material possessions for true happiness.” police car sirens go off “I am not going to jail again!” speeds off :eek:

He’s referring to a gag in a The Simpsons episode from last year, “'Tis the Fifteenth Season,” that was rerun tonight. Here’s a vintage thread on that episode. (WARNING: For historical purposes only. I did see the episode tonight, and the first time it aired, but I’m not sure I understand the question. I don’t think the joke is that Buddha stole those things from Homer.
