Buffy, 5/1/01, AKA "Aaargh! Kill Glory! Kill Glory!"

Harmony left Sunnydale at the end of “Crush”, the episode where Dru came back. Then she appeared in LA to visit Cordelia in the episode “Disharmony” on Angel.

If that last link doesn’t work, try Mighty Big TV and look for Angel recaps. The site is running slowing this morning, and I’m having a hard time getting the pages to load.

Along the lines of “why doesn’t Willow call on the gods/esses to help her?” is Why didn’t Dawn freak out when Ben the medic showed up? She saw him turn into Glory at the hospital, didn’t she?

Oh, and Dinsdale? If you taped last week’s episode, watch it again. Giles asks the girls to get the twine, they turn away and the camera follows them. There is a grindy/crunchy noise. The camera turns back to Giles, still standing there and the minion starts talking.
As for how Giles knew the minion was outside the door, I’d say Giles heard him. They are not every subtle.

xtal, Dawn seemed to have forgotten or repressed the fact that Ben turned into Glory. When she was asked what happened, she said something like, “I was talking to Ben, and then Glory showed up…” I think if she actually remembered the morphing, she’d have mentioned it. There was a great look on her face of, “Oh, crud, I know what happens next…” in the 5/8 episode…

Spike has always been a hopeless romantic, in his own brooding twisted way.

Remember when he returned to Sunnydale after breaking up with Dru?
“I’m really glad I came here, you know? I’ve been all wrongheaded about this. Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else. I want Dru back, I’ve just gotta be the man I was, the man she loved. I’m gonna do what I shoulda done in the first place: I’ll find her, wherever she is, tie her up, torture her until she likes me again.”

Awwwww…

Ok, I haven’t been watching the series all that much (actually, last week was the first entire show I’ve seen), but is there any explination as to how the inquisition type guys in armor found them? I mean, one minute, they’re driving through the frikin’ desert, the next there’s an entire calvalry troup coming up behind them.

I’ve been wondering that myself…The general guy said that Buffy was told they’d come back, and she responded in a way that indicated she knew that, but I must have missed the episode in which they were introduced. I didn’t get the impression they were related to the monks that made the Key into Dawn. Anybody know?

Yeah, it was in the episode where the Watchers Council came to “examine” Buffy. On her way to a final confrontation with the members of the Council, she was jumped by three guys in armor; after beating them down, she interrogated one, who gave her the basic no-frills version of who they were. They’ve been hanging around Sunnydale for a while, as shown by the one Glory brain-sucked (seen being rescued from the hospital and later killed by his comrade-in-arms in the latest episode).

The writers making Dawn forget about Ben/Glory is by far the biggest gaffe in this TV series. And worse, this mistake overshadows the main plot move of Glory kidnapping Dawn.

capacitor, why do you say that? If Dawn had remembered, they could have killed/contained Ben long ago, and with him Glory. I have to wonder why, after finding out that Buffy was the Slayer and Dawn the Key, did Ben not go to Buffy for help getting rid of Glory.

I find myself wondering how Ben can be mortal (the knight said so). I mean, did he know as a child that he had this woman in him? What happened the first time she manifested herself in him? How did he come to know anything about her? Her minions, maybe? It doesn’t make any sense to me that he’s not supernatural too.

I am someone to be pitied.

I’ve decided to remain spoiler free for the last few episodes. I get them on Wednesday nights. This has proven difficult, especially since the wildfeed is now back up.

Must…resist…temptation…
