Burn Notice is back!

USA is showing a marathon…new episode at 10p Eastern!

On the one hand, I’m happy- I loves me some new Burn Notice.

On the other hand, Comcast insists that *every *episode in the marathon is, in face, a *new *episode. As a result, my DVR is recording old episodes of Burn Notice instead of, say, Smallville.

I’m a bit peeved.

Despite my SO’s inability to tolerate the commercials because they mention “SPF 11” sunscreen, which doesn’t exist, I watched an episode last week and really liked it, so I think I’ll catch it tonight. Looks good!

Yaaay! An extremely straight forward yet enjoyable show.

  • Bruce Campbell! and “Carla,” whoever she is. Like we care. Just blow stuff up!

Yes, very annoying. Plus they didn’t even bother to tell the DVR info WHAT episode it is. I’m guessing that I’m set to record the new one only.

I’ll piggy back on this too, and to second what Morbo said. I was all excited the other day when my stupid comcast dvr said there was a new ep of Burn Notice recorded. and the summary is a generic ‘series summary’, not a summary for that episode. :frowning:

stupid comcast

Does this mean USA will stop showing those same damn two promos every commercial break when I’m trying to get my SVU and House on?

Burn Notice!!! NEW EPISODES!!! Yea!!! WHooohoooo!!!
I’ve really missed it.

Lets hope so. I love Fi and all, but if I have to hear her say 'Women like it when things go ‘boom’" again I may get stabby…

In addition to setting my DVR to record only “new episodes,” it allows me to set it to record them only if they occur in a specific time slot (like Thursdays at 9 pm). Might be worth checking to see if you have that option.

I don’t have the specific time slot option with Comcast where I live. And although I can set to record only “new episodes,” this does not work with Burn Notice. It records them all. Other culprits for this are also on USA - Psych and Monk.

I realized Gabrielle Anwar was in The Tudors…she played Henry’s sister.

Does Comcast show Burn Notice On Demand?

I am so psyched that I am actually going to stay up 'till 11 to watch this tonight. ON A WEEKNIGHT!

Insane, I know. But worth it for Michael and Fiona!

USA has a woeful showing On Demand.

I’m watching my first episode tonight. Anything I need to know?

I’ve only watched this show streaming from USA’s website.

No, the lead-in at the beginning will pretty much cover it: “My name is Michael Westin. I used to be a spy…” There is some story arc, but it only consumes a minute or two of each episode, and they’re otherwise standalone.

She was also Queen Anne in Disney’s The Three Musketeers. You get to see a lot more of her in this, though.

My cable provider wouldn’t play USA AT ALL last night. So I watched ER. ::pout::
