Burn Notice is back!

Mikey being beat up after the explosion was cool. Sam standing up to MIke was cool.
Some progress with Carla’s motives.

Anybody else think all the way thorugh that Kenny the Client was playing Michael? Just me? Okay. Really - he seemed to push every button Michael has, exactly when they needed pushing.

And Gabrielle Anwar needs to eat a burger or two. That swimsuit scene was painful.

StG

Seconded.

She is rather gaunt, isn’t she? I especially noticed it in her face during the scene in the ambulance.

I thought little Jack was just the cutest thing, and when Fiona was playing Army men I just cracked up. She got to use her knowledge and he thought she was the coolest thing ever.

I’d never heard of this type of medical scam…is it common? I’ve never encountered anyone like that hanging out at hospitals or doctor’s offices.

I love the interrogation scenes…especially when they shoved the guy out the window. Yikes!

Not much progress in the Carla Saga…why do I think during some tense moment, Michael’s going to grab her and they’ll tumble to the bed while the music swells?

This is definitely one of my favorite shows. It’s one of the few that balances a long story arc with episodic stories. Michael, Fiona and Carla are all so dreamy too.

I think it was interesting that they introduced an element that is clearly beyond Carla’s control and showed her overplaying her hand because she is genuinely upset by it.

I thought this week’s (Jan 29) was very good. I would like to know what happened in Fiona’s past to make her so adamant they were going to help Corey and Tanya.

Ivylad almost cried when they destroyed the GTO. He had one when he was younger, and let’s just say he broke a few traffic laws when he had it.

When Michael started talking in an Irish accent…mmmm, baby. I lurves me a Scottish or an Irish accent. I about melted into a puddle of goo.

And Fiona was so matter of fact about escaping from the burning house, and was so surprised that Michael thought she was dead…but please, someone, give Gabrielle a sandwich or something. I know they think she looks sexy in her short skirts, but she looks like a piece of beef jerky.

Comcast had this On Demand, so I was able to watch it with no commercials…no previews, though.

It was a good episode, but shame on USA for running a preview of next week’s episode showing Fiona alive and well following the firetrap scene. It completely ruined the dramatic tension of Mike not knowing whether she had survived. I knew Fi was too much of a professional to let herself get booby-trapped, but Mike going frantic with worry was a great scene which was totally ruined by the preview in between the inferno and Mike going home to discover an apparently unruffled Fi there.

I like this show, but I sometimes get distracted by the way the main character moves. He has exactly the same mannerisms/body awareness as Val Kilmer. Does anyone else get that vibe?

It took me exactly the same way. Wow, that was sexy.

What was going on with him calling Fi’s cellphone at the end again? Does voicemail ‘live’ with the phone, or is it at the phone company? Was he wondering how Fi’s phone survived the fire?

Please don’t tell us Fi is involved in all of this somehow. I thought Michael being so upset was great, and I do want them to get back together.

Carla was waiting for him to come home and said, “I see you and Fi are (in a relationship)” TV shows usually don’t waste time or lines that aren’t important.

He was sneaking in, I gather not to awaken Fi, whom he presumed had left before Carla got there. Fi has cell phones like she has guns.

Anyway, Fi isn’t there, Carla is and Fi won’t answer her phone. Has she been kidnapped by Carla or the other faction?

Oh, come on. A battle between Carla and Fiona? Fee could beat her with one hand tied behind her back and wearing her high heels. Hell, she could probably find time to eat a yogurt in between the punches.

I thought him calling her cell phone at the end was a bit odd…if it was the next morning, surely she wouldn’t have had time to replace her phone already?

Prepaids are easy to come by.

Perhaps Carla brought fifteen or twenty minions with her. That would be a fair fight.

Yeah, I was really confused by the ending. Why did he call again? I felt like something was being implied that I missed.

I loved how worried Michael got.

Liked the accent, too.

I thought he called because she left before he got back with breakfast. I think it’s supposed to amp up the tension…“Ooo, why didn’t she stay? Does she regret our night together? Why isn’t she answering? Is she avoiding me?”

But not nearly as much as is on view in Body Snatchers. Wow.

To tell her about the scene w/Carla?

Fi seems to be showing more skin this half-season.

Man, she’s got a banging bod.

10pm Eastern…I wonder if Michael will talk Irish again. Please please please please…

My favorite accent he’s ever done was the bored jewel thief guy. The aristocrat southern drawwwwwwwl.
