Burn Notice is back!

Sniff. Fi seems alive and well.

Last night’s episode: Was anyone else expecting the client to be the good guy and the receptionist to really be the bad guy? I think it may have to do with the way the guy from the 4400 was playing his character - he seemed to be too sympathetic to be the bad guy.

I definitely did, and thought it was a little odd the writers didn’t note the possibility and have some more research by the Good Guys played out. I, too, though that the “other client” was potentially leading them on.

Why are we placing what already happened in spoiler boxes?
It would be interesting if Mike and Co. discovered the client was lying after they had caused someone to be killed.

I didn’t see any new posts yet for last night. Erring on the side of caution.

Something else I observed last night - this and Psych are the only shows where I’ve seen every episode and could not tell you the name of the lead actor. Weird.

She would if she gained 15 pounds. I can see her ribs!

Thanks.

I can. Sigh.

He’s that guy from Touching Evil, whatchamacallit.

My son has been watching the whole series this past week, and I have only been listening, so I had no idea what anyone looked like. At one point in one episode, Michael introduces himself and his friend as “Detectives Cagney and Lacey” and I cracked up laughing. My son asked me what was so funny, and I said it was because C & L were women, and the TV character joke the victim should have seen through…etc. It wasn’t until a day or two later when he was watching another episode that I actually sat down to watch…and when I saw who was playing Michael’s mother, I just about died laughing. I had to (sigh) explain the reference to my 24-year-old son, then…

Good lord…

To me she’ll always be Pacino’stango partnerin SCENT OF A WOMAN.

Her ex-partner was on one of the episodes, as well. That was pretty amusing.

“I don’t know, Michael. I just trust her for some reason.” - Mom

Maybe this son Michael will come out as well so she’ll have an excuse to wear all the rainbow paraphernalia (and either Michael Westen or Jeffrey Donovan one certainly pings my gaydar- a forty year old with a catlike body who wears Armani suits for running?)

I was so surprised that Audrey Landers had such a tiny part. I assumed she was going to be the Carla character. Of course Richard Schiff from West Wing was also essentially a walk on/get shot role like the Special Guest Stars a the beginning of Police Squad, so maybe it’s a deliberate red herring.

I like seeing Seymour again. Interesting that Fiona isn’t interested in anything more than “blowing off some steam” with Michael.

I would have liked to have seen them confirm the bank account number with Derek, Bomber for Hire, but I suppose since Michael & Company are so good at their jobs, it’s rare they get caught like that.

For some reason. Comcast On Demand came back late from one of the breaks and I missed the whole reason Melanie was the spy. Something about Chandler and her father were partners and Chandler killed her father because he wouldn’t sell a painting called The Lady in White?

I do like how Michael manages to get the bad guys to do his dirty work for him. He sets up the situation, a little misdirection there, a lie there and boom…bad guy one takes out bad guy two and our hero is saved.

It’s bits like “Cagney and Lacey” that keep me watching. I love that they don’t take themselves seriously and, at the same time, contain serious adventure and clever solutions.

FTR I also thought that this week’s client was going to turn out to be the villain.

They had the whole first season on hulu for a while. Or enough that I went and bought the DVD. I discovered it just after the first part of this season had ended. I’m so glad it’s started up again!

Her Father was the artist. He hadn’t finished it and folks were offering 7 million. Chandler would get a commission and harried him to finish it. I blinked at this point, but Chandler beat him to death and swiped the painting.

Close - Chandler was pushing the artist to finish it, the artist threatened to find a different dealer, Chandler hired “Mr Friendly” to beat up the artist and steal the painting. Mr. Friendly also burned the loft that the painter lived at, the painting was presumed destroyed.

The Secretary, initial spy, was the daughter of the painter.

I so wanted at the end of the episode to see the the secretary phone someone “I got the painting, meet you in an hour for the exchange”…

Chandler showed the painting to Mike where it was hidden behind another. Who got it in the end, the Secretary?

I misread your post. Thanks and never mind.
