I am happy to report it looks like Burn Notice is going to be around for awhile!
According to this Hollywood Reporter article , Jeffrey Donovan (Michael) just got a salary bump, and extended his contract from 7 seasons to 8 seasons!

Are these the now-fashionable mini-seasons of 10-13 episodes that appear every 6 to 9 months, or what?
I love how they brought back Sam’s alter ego, Finley. That guys going to have a real rep in Florida soon.

No, she was 25 pounds if she was an ounce. (Oh, years… she was 22; she’s had 3 kids since then.)

My son has been watching the whole series this past week, and I have only been listening, so I had no idea what anyone looked like. At one point in one episode, Michael introduces himself and his friend as “Detectives Cagney and Lacey” and I cracked up laughing. My son asked me what was so funny, and I said it was because C & L were women, and the TV character joke the victim should have seen through…etc. It wasn’t until a day or two later when he was watching another episode that I actually sat down to watch…and when I saw who was playing Michael’s mother, I just about died laughing. I had to (sigh) explain the reference to my 24-year-old son, then…
I objected to the believability of this scene when it was originally shown. I did not think anybody would actually be whooshed by two people referring to themselves as "Cagney and “Lacey”. Yeah, right, and I’m Mr. Ed. It took away my suspension of disbelief. I now stand corrected.
Get off my lawn.
