mmmm…::wipes drool off chin::
Oh man, I picked exactly the wrong time of year to go back on the Atkins diet.
Last Easter I hid about twenty Creme Eggs all over the house. In Matt’s many toolboxes, in his shoes, in his jacket pockets, in his guitar cases, all over the shop. I forgot where I put them. I am a dutiful and hilarious wife!
For months afterwards there would be a manly cry of “AUGH AUGH OH DEAR GOD” as he blindly encountered one, say, in his shoe (and an unexpected Creme Egg can really feel quite threatening, apparently), reacting each time like a meerkat faced with a snake.
I think he appreciated them really, though.
Well, they have changed in one really obvious way to us fans:

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. My Og their sickeningly sweet, but I can’t resist them.
I was expecting a face hugger to jump out of the top of it at the end.
I have seen the top of the mountain.
And it is good.
Well the bitch in my house certainly loves it…
I got some Cadbury’s Heroes for Xmas from the UK, which had the “Twisted” version of the Creme Eggs. They’re much better than the US ones, but still way rich. I’ve been fobbing them off on my coworker.
Mini-eggs are the smack, though! Is it better to crunch them, or let the shell disolve in your mouth and then enjoy the chocolate?
Shell dissolve in your mouth, totally. They last so much longer that way. (I just caved and bought this year’s first mini-egg bag tonight…oh god I’ve eaten so many…)
I love love love the original and orange ones. I’ve even learned to apply juuuust the right pressure to crack it into two neat pieces, thus avoiding the need to decide where to bit into it to get at the creme.
Hate the carmel, though, despite liking caramello bars.
