I’m in town 28th-31st, so hopefully I can make a Calgary Dopefest before I’ve even been to a Londope (scandalous!). And Indonesian food sounds like a very good idea. However, the Irish extended family will naturally conspire against clear-cut plans, so I’m making no promises just yes!

Sorry ** featherlou**, trupa and I have been having trouble with on-then off - then on again babysitting arrangements. We are hoping to make it but need to confirm with another potential babysitter on Sunday, and will get back to you after the weekend.
Definitely count me out of the 28th, I’m afraid (hah, 7pm will be about 4am by my body clock!), and probably I won’t make the 30th either. Sorry! (If a bunch of disreputable Europeans does appear mid-evening, however, that might be us…)

And in other news, Restaurant Indonesia is closed that day for renovations. My second choice which needs no reservations and always has lots of room is Tipperary’s on the corner of 16th Avenue and 19th Street NW. The menu is reasonably-priced pub grub, with excellent burgers their specialty.
So, if no objections, I move we move the dinner to Tipps, with the date and time remaining the same (7:00 pm Thurs, Jul. 28).

Calgary is a no this summer. As is ALL of Alberta.
Thanks, featherlou . I can now confirm that we have secured a babysitter for Thursday night, so we should be able to make it. I will be on call, but hopefully the resident on 1st call will be able to handle things him - or herself during our dinner.
As far as food choice, trupa and I are game for just about anything - so pub food, Indian food , whatever - all a good excuse to meet with fellow Dopers.
Okay, since adam is our guest, I will make a reservation for Puspa for Thursday. They are located at 1051 - 40th Ave NW (straight up 10th Street to Northmount Drive, basically).
