Calling Arcade Fighting Game Nerds! Need help

Hey all. I need to figure out a character from an old arcade fighting game.

I played it in the mid-90’s, and I think it was new then, but it was in a series. I can’t remember the name exactly, but it may have been “King of Fighters”. Maybe not. There were a lot of that style of game back then.

The character I’m looking for had a costume option that mirrored Bruce Lee’s yellow/black outfit

He was a definite bruce lee imitation, but in a cool way. Can anyone remember what his name was? Or at least a picture of him in-game?

Many thanks in advance.

I don’t suppose you’re thinking of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat.

Fei Long from street fighter?

Nope. Too easy  It was a bit more rare. Not nearly as popular as Mortal Kombat.

Nah, he was a lot skinnier. And kinda tallish. The yellow jumpsuit was some sort of costume choice in an arcade game - I mean the kinda you put quarters into and stood in front of. Not any home system. So it couldn’t be modded. I can’t remember how you unlocked that suit, and the game was def not mainstream.

I GOT IT!!

It was Tekken’s Law

Thanks for the help though.

Not to burst your bubble, but Marshall Law isn’t exactly obscure. The Tekken franchise has gone places.

I’m pretty sure I saw Jann Lee in a variation of that outfit in one of the Dead or Alive games. Guess Bruce Lee didn’t leave a whole lot of material to choose from.

AsI was figuring it out, I had discounted Tekken in my head already. I assumed it was one of the Japanese/English translated ones.

Who here has heard of King of Fighters? I really thought it was that one for some reason…

Of course I’ve heard of it. But it didn’t even have a Bruce Lee clone, nevermind one with an unlockable costume. (KOF was a 2D sprite based game, which meant that anything most advanced than a palette swap would require a full hand-done redraw of the sprite. You don’t see alternate “costumes” in games like that. Just color schemes. )
