When the kunilou princess was about that age, the missus and I decided she was old enough to take to a resturant for a short while during happy hour. She started licking the straws from everyone’s margaritas. Long story short, it doesn’t take a whole lot of margarita to get a 19-month old drunk.
On the good side, she slept all the way home, and for quite a long time thereafter.
I just found this thread, or else I’d have been there yesterday with USAR_JAG, et al.
Count me in for the major event, whatever it may turn out to be. I’m pretty much a Mon-Fri 8-5 kinda guy, so any weekday evening or anytime on weekends works for me.
Actually, it turned out to be just me and the affable Homebrew. We had a few margaritas, then went out and toured the art fair at Westport.
This was my first “Dopefest.” And, let me say this: As this mini-Dopefest (and probably a larger, more well-organized St. Louis Dopefest in the near-future) all came about my me mocking and taunting St. Louis cuisine, I still was able to receive the Official Homebrew Rating of “Not a Jerk”!
At this point, it looks like if I come I will be bringing Michael. His mom has to cover for someone who will be out sick for the entire month of July and she’s basically scheduled randomly, 30 hours every week. So whatever works for everyone else, weekend or weekday, doesn’t matter to me.
BTW, Homebrew, the float trip got cancelled and so I have this Saturday off… are there any political events happening this weekend surrounding the amendment for August? I’m the new editor of my school paper and I’d like to get some contact info, but more importantly I support the cause of defeating the amendment and it’d be cool to meet like-minded people.
The Constitutional Defense League will have a booth at the PrideFest in Tower Grove Park. We’ll have voter registration cards available and talking to people about the proposed amendment.
