Cameron Frye Returns to Wrigley Field

…and sings Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

That’s right, Alan Ruck, who portrayed Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and who currently plays, uh, that guy, on Spin City, was the guest conductor of Take Me Out to the Ballgame today at Wrigley Field. He did a fantastic job.

Before the song, Ron Santo was interviewing him about his experiences making the movie. Ruck replied that he loved it, and,

at which point Ron Santo shooshed (is that how you spell it?) him and Alan shut up.

WTH was that all about? Last I heard, a sequel to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off had been green-lighted and that Ruck, Matthew Broderick, and the actress who played Sloane were all on board.

Anybody know what was up Ron Santo’s ass today?

Last I heard, a year or so ago on Corona Coming Attractions, was that a sequel idea is being kicked around, but nothing was in development.

The idea was for Ferris and Cameron to play hooky from their grown-up jobs for a day of fun. Sounds good to me.

Can you see Broderick’s teacher from Election playing hooky with Ed Rooney as the principal?
