I have an old mixed tape from the mid 90s with a song on it I’d like to identify. I have no clue who sings it, and googling it didn’t help me.
It’s a dance/pop song sung by a woman and some of the lyrics include, “. . . in the cool of evening. While the insects buzz in the tattered screening. High above the world I hear the yellow eagle call. . . Oh, the sky is blue when I think of you, and I couldn’t get much higher. And you make my day when you turn to say that I set your heart on fire. . . feel the purple passion pull. Mellow as the moonshine, sparkle like a new wine, baby you just got it all. Senses overloading, drowning in a pool of love. Sweet temptation, never gonna get enough. . . Pleasures untold, silver and gold, everything that we deserve. . .”
Anyway. Does anyone know the name of the band and/or the name of the song?
Thanks so much!
