lately they are playing two different songs by what -sounds- to be the same person/group.

- A couple lines of one song that I can remember is something like “I look to the sky – I something something[line unclear] – but they sky has other things in mind”, but this is not the main part of the chorus. I have searched several lyrics sites for these lines and haven’t come up with anything. At one point the service was affiliated with MP3.com, because there’s be little voiceover annuncements in-between songs saying so, but I listened to a lot of songs tonight and didn’t find anything close there. I am pretty certain of the accuracy of the words I have related above, however.
- The single vocalist is female and pretty high-pitched, sounds a lot like the Sundays lead singer when she’s hitting the upper-half of the notes in the song “Here’s where the story ends”. This description actually narrows it down quite a lot–it would have to be female and fairly young. Older people simply can’t sustain such high notes, even if they could when they were young.
- The music is straightforward modern pop/rock–not any bit overly country, electronic, etc. No particular instrument is standing out, the vocals are pretty much the focus of the song.
I do realize that a recorded sample would help much more, but as of yet I have not been able to record one.
Anybody got any ideas? List any singers/acts that might qualify, that aren’t already listed.
