Have they run out of baroque ways to harm people there?
Is this enough space to hide spoilers from previews, in case anyone still cares?
How the hell was a posse of med students and interns able to just roll a patient needing an MRI in from the hallway into the magnet room? Every MRI suite I’ve been in is built with layers of defense between the outside world and the highly magnetic inner sanctum - something like hallway - waiting room - control room - magnet room, and you can’t just roll right in.
Instead, a patient gets jammed into the scanner, and they most likely had to do an emergency quench to shut down the magnet to retrieve her. At least the accident acted as a bizarre chiropractic treatment and resolved the patient’s back pain.
Next week - Hmm… dark secrets involving Dr. Greene.
I had it on but didn’t pay a lot of attention. I don’t think the magnet squashing really fixed the patient, I thought Morris was just humoring Little Pratt in both the catching of the problem and the healing. It was kind of painful to see Morris transition back to the idiot doctor of his early days, at least they managed to have him learn his lesson in one episode.
Wasn’t Pratt’s brother gay? Do you think he and Morris will have a romance?
I am eagerly awaiting the Mark Green episode. Judging by the preview it now makes sense why Angela Bassett’s husband remarked “I don’t know how you can work in that place.”
No. The length of Bassett’s hair in the commericial for the next episode clearly indicates that whatever the episode is about in general, part of it is a flashback to having had a run-in with Green before he died. Short hair–> present, long hair–> past.
My guess that her involvement with Mark will center on The death of her daughter. The kid is never seen outside a photo, and clearly isn’t around. She probably met Mark at the ER after whatever accident/illness killed the kid
Though I liked the MRI scene due to the line quoted in the title, I did wonder before the accident why they had her on a metal gurney…
More reason to love Anthony Edwards, he worked for free providing they donate his salary to a charity he is working for to build a hospital for children in Africa.
I don’t see a thread for this week and they get so few posts anyway I’ll just jump on this one.
I really enjoyed the 11/13 episode!
I guess it was mostly seeing all the old gang and how they put it all together. It was neat seeing Eriq LaSalle do a memorial for Michael Crichton too.
I don’t like Angela Bassett’s acting here at all. I think she’s too big for TV, or she’s overacting. It’s just too much. She’s too angry to be believable. So this episode fixed her for me.
I’m glad there wasn’t much of the newer cast; I don’t care for any of them really. Especially Sam and whatever his name is. Blah! Boring! Yay you both have teen kids and find time for romancing and arguing like kids yourselves.
I don’t catch every episode like I used to and I’m usually not that impressed when I do, but last night I was in tears…very rare for me…by the end of the show.
I liked the episode, too. I like Angela Bassett, however. I was really feeling sorry for her at the end. What a horrible thing to have happen to your child. I was glad her husband was there and helped her let out the grief.
Last night’s episode was really affecting. I agree Angela Bassett’s bitchy anger is a little over the top, but at least we got to see how and why it happened. Her scene with Morris near the end was very moving.
Loved the Kerry and Romano appearances. Edwards gave an outstanding performance that made me miss the old days of this show.
