Can I shift the audio of computer video?

Is there something cheap or free that will let me shift the audio of computer (avi, wmv, etc) video? How does this get so off, anyhow? Even replication through the internets wouldn’t do that, theoretically.

Need to get up early so this will be a quick reply.

If you want to modify the file itself could use Virtualdub Open the file, go to Audio>Interleave and set a skew correction. Next go to video> set direct stream copy then file>save it as a new file.
For shifting audio with playback if you use this video player MPC HC you can set an audio delay under view>options>internal filters>audio switcher> audio time shift. (can be +/-)

GOM Player does it too.

But if you mean online video, like YouTube clips, I don’t think you can. It would be a handy thing to include on YouTube, or the Flash plugin, or a Firefox Add-On…

As far as I know, VLC Media Player also has this feature. Hotkeyed to “J” and “K” for + and - respectively.

well you could, down load the track, convert to a different file type, then use whatever to shift the audio track over.

depending on the type of file you could even do this with windows movie maker

Er. Okay. Not exactly convenient, or really even close to useful, but thanks for playing.
