Can psychosis be diagnosed from BB posts?

Actually, the dollar bill trick is kinda simple. If you focus on the dollar, no way. Focus on the person, no sweat. One of the concentration exercises in first year Ch’uan Fa gung fu.

Except we used Chinese money.

::::gazing into my crystal ball::::::

You are…you are… you are…
going to win the lotto for 40 million dollars!

Seriously, you are short with dark hair, not blonde or red unless dyed. You paint your nails sometimes but not always. You are somewhat overweight. You are younger than 40. You like to think and you like sex or at least did in the past. Pet peeve: cowards.

I like this type of thing because it helps me to sharpen my skills, oh, and you rarely lie because you really like honesty in people.

I know this may seem to some to be vague but it’s not. I may not be 100% accurate, I never claimed that but I can tell quite a bit about a person.

Let’s see how close I came.

Pariah: Good post. I agree with you almost entirely. However, the more a person posts the more you can tell about them by linking clues.

The dollar trick? Two things, I tried this within a day or two of posting this and the last person I tried it on I focused exclusively on the dollar. And, your training helped you “learn” this skill, I have had no training, I don’t even play cards! It’s still a neat trick and I haven’t known anyone personally that could beat me at it.

Ken

This from a person (or people; I’m still not convinced) who think(s) I’m gay.

I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!

Covered that in my first post.

I never “lied” in the persona I adopted, I played a part. If you use that criterion all the movies you have ever seen are filled with liars and no actor or actress should ever be believed. And yes, there is a way to verify ALL that I say. Simply ask for verification and I will e-mail you the articles that prove my claims or if you would prefer I’ll mail them to you, or call me and I’ll talk to you on the telephone, simple. I communicate regularly with some posters here off the board and would do the same to any that asked.

I don’t play cards.

You aren’t on medication. You are not a misanthrope. You don’t have any kids. You like spicy foods. You have had therapy. You like numbers and you have at times counted things unnecessarily, things like floor tile while going to the bathroom in public places. You don’t like people getting too close and you lie whenever it serves your purpose. I am not trying to paint you in a bad light, but you asked. I got “the tease” and it’s ok. I like you and did even in The Flat Earth thread, I did have a hard time hiding that though. I hope to see you around, you add something to this board that is entertaining and neat!!!

I won’t be posting for a while now. A book came in and I have to travel 90 miles to go get it.

Ciao,

Ken

Cool. Now that’s the kind of fortune I like to hear.

Both true. As I said when Formeragent called me ‘small’ (though I think he meant small-minded) I am five feet tall.
And yes, my hair, unless dyed, is dark. Along with that of the vast majority of US citizens.

. Nope. Haven’t painted my nails in more than ten years.

Good guess, as the majority of all women are, but nope, I’m not. I am at precisely the correct weight for my height (105, in case anybody cares.)

True.

Most people on this board do.

Hm. Now that’s a tricky one to answer. I think I’ll plead no contest.

Interesting perspective. I think I disagree, though. Pet peeve, in so far as I have one, would be liars.

Also true, and probably evident to everyone who has read this thread, since in my last post I made a point of saying so.

I agree. However, can you say anything about my mental stability? My qualifications to make any of the statements I’ve made? My educational background, job skills? Medication? Family? Socioeconomic status?
Now, I should be easier than most, because I have been perfectly honest so far. (Unless I’m lying about that, of course. Who could tell?)

Felice–

Since you’re short, you must be rich.

All short people are rich. Just look at Michael Jordan. Man, that guy is rich.

Felice:

The vast majority of US citizens may be dark-haired but you never said you were an
American citizen. Further, if most women are dark-haired I wouldn’t necessarily know that either. To me it looks like there is an equal mix between women with blonde hair, red hair, and dark hair. Again you say most women are overweight. I did not know that either. And since you posted you weight and height you are about the size I pictured you, that is why I said somewhat, I wasn’t trying to be polite or tactful, just accurate. The reason I said the pet peeve was cowardice was because the lying was too obvious, not obvious in the thread, but obvious from my point of view. Many people come here and say, “I never lie” then they lie ALL the time. In fact one way you can tell a liar is the statement, “I never lie” or “Honestly…” or “This time I am not lying…” So that wasn’t as obvious as you thought either. More on your honesty-you can put up with many things but lying isn’t one of them, in fact, you have said that to someone in a conversation. Stop! Not all people say that, Felice, so don’t come back with “Well, that’s something everybody says”. They don’t. You are candid to a fault and sometimes wonder if it is worth it. Then you think, Yes, it is.

You are stable mentally but may have had counseling. I doubt the counseling. You are middle class or higher with some college possibly a degree or two. You are a white collar worker but believe in people’s rights. Oh and if you think that all the people here think you haven’t been around sister. Check out MPSIMS! Or better yet the Pit! You are the first born of a relatively small family, not just 3 or 10 somewhere in between. Also you are a reader. You like books and books that make you think although you can read fiction for pleasure, which is completely unlike me. I NEVER read fiction but I am trying to learn. You are single with no kids. Haven’t met Mr. Right is my guess.

So far I missed the thing about your nails and that is all. Pretty good for a “screen test” I’d think!

How’d I do?

All this I gleamed from about 6 posts by you. One in mammals, two here, and three from the Clinton thread you started.

I will be out of touch all day tomorrow as I am doing some composing and later going to a friends house for some help (collaborative effort).

Yours,

Ken

Anyone else want to start a Phaedrus mind reading thread?

You can feel free to call me Mr. Tied for 26th place on the favorite poster’s list.

Please don’t encourage him!!

I doubt a single thing I could type is going to encourage Phaedrus in any way. Every now and then, I like his posts. This one seems a little too out there though.

Nice to have another LauraLee follow up post again.

Summary: Phaedrus’ profile of Felice:

  1. Dark hair. True. Also true of the majority of the world’s population.
  2. painted nails sometimes. Nope.
  3. somewhat overweight. Nope.
  4. You are younger than 40. True. Also true of the majority of the on-line population.
  5. You like to think. True. Typical of most people on this Board. Also, who would deny this?
  6. you like sex or at least did in the past. True. Again, who is going to deny this?
  7. With no kids. True.
  8. Pet peeve: cowards. Nope. Liars.
  9. you rarely lie. True. A reasonable inference, given that on a couple of different threads I have harangued people for fraudulent postings and misrepresenting themself.
  10. really like honesty in people. True. And a safe guess, since I said my pet peeve was liars.
  11. can put up with many things but lying isn’t one of them, in fact, you have said that to someone in a conversation. Don’t recall saying that, but it’s possible. Again, a safe guess given my stated position on liars.
  12. You are stable mentally. True. Almost everyone in the world would describe themself as mentally stable.
  13. may have had counseling. Nope.
  14. You are middle class or higher. Safe. Just about everybody in this country describes themself as middle class.
  15. some college possibly a degree or two. Or three.
  16. You are a white collar worker. True. With this much access to a computer, a safe guess.
  17. You are single. Haven’t met Mr. Right is my guess. Nope. Have been married to Mr. Right for many years.
  18. You are the first born child. True.
  19. of a relatively small family, not just 3 or 10 somewhere in between. Between 3 and 10 covers 99.9% of families.
  20. Also you are a reader. You like books and books that make you think although you can read fiction for pleasure. True. Read a lot. Given that like most people I ended up here based on Cecil’s books, a safe guess.
  21. Short -true. Stated in one thread that I am five feet tall.but believe in people’s rights. Huh?

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

The way I read this, Phaedrus, you have made 21 statements about me. Five are wrong (2,3,8,13,17).
Of those which are correct,
Five are specific statements that are reasonable based on what I have said outright and the threads I have posted in (9,10,11,21)
Ten are general observations that are typical of that segment of the population that posts to a BB like this one (1,4,5,6,12,14,15,16,19,20)
Two are specific details which are correct. (7,18). Lucky guesses?
Out of these twenty statements, are there any other women on the board who find that 17 accurately describe them?

Felice

15 out of 21 for me, 71%. Isn’t that eerie?

Ok, who does the above 21 questions not apply to?

Phaedrus, are you an actuary?

I wonder if my attempt at projecting this persona have been successful, or if everyone out there knows that I am really a 22 year old high school dropout who works in the lot of the Home Depot in Fairfield, CT. (Yeah! Store 6206!)

I thought store 6206 was in Enfield, CT.

Mullinator~ If I had known what was going on, I’d have come and voted for you over at MPSIMS!!

Damn. That could explain why my stock purchase plan keeps screwing up. I’ve been going to work at the wrong store for the past five years.
