I can’t believe this!! I just talked to the sister of a friend of mine. Apparently this self centered, arrogant prick thinks that I have a crush on him! I did have a crush on him, 2 and a half years ago!! It lasted for maybe 6 months, tops. He wasn’t interested and I eventually lost interest and we became good friends. But what pisses me off is that we talked about my crush once and I told him I didn’t have a crush on him any more. I told him when it stopped. And come to find out, he told his whole damn family (who I see at church ever weekend!) that I still have a crush on him. I cannot believe him!! Why does he think this!?! I want to beat some sense into him! Get his head out of his ass! something! Does the fact that I talk about the guys at college not let him know I’m no long stuck on him? Does the fact that I’ve said I don’t have a crush on him tell him I do?? I’d talk to him about it but he’s not here right now. I conveniently found out just after he left. ::grrr:: he even told my best female friend that I have a crush on him, which she obviously knows I don’t. It just upsets me that he’s told everyone this without any basis. Why didn’t he just ASK me??

What a putz. I’m sorry. Some guys just don’t take a hint. I once had a crush on a guy and now, a year later he has decided he may want me. Guys like that want anyone that wil stroke their ego.

IQM - I agree with Medea’s Child. Call him out on this and make him retract all his statements. Set the guy staight.

Well, before he went into basic, he probably couldn’t get a date in a palm grove, if he really was an arrogant self-centered prick, so he had to convince himself that you had a crush on him, and he could have been with you, but he didn’t want to. Now that he’s in basic, he probably needs even more to do some chest beating, so he claims that he would reciprocate (an offer that doesn’t exist), if he wasn’t so preoccupied with something that’s much more important than relationships. Guys like that always end up shooting their own foot off (figuratively); they always end up liking someone who wouldn’t have them on a platter, because that person has no time for arrogant self-centered pricks.
