Can you have worms in your nose?

Because … worms Bricker

I mean, look… I’m no doctor, but if you’ve got worms growing in your nose, keep em. Swallow them whole. Good source of protein, right there and ready-made just for you. Why throw something like that away, when so many go hungry in this world?

And if they look and taste like rice, think of the Asian dishes you could create. For you and your friends.

If the worms are in your nose now, it’s a short trip to the cerebral cortex. Get them taken care of quickly before you do something stupid like try to shoot Kirk.

“a bit pink” pork isn’t undercooked, for what it’s worth. 140 degrees is the current minimum FDA cooking temp for pork, and on modern pigs, that’ll be quite pink – more or less “medium rare” if were beef. It’s more than enough to kill any living worms in the pork, too. Eggs might survive, but assuming you don’t eat through your nose, they wouldn’t be there, they’d be in your stomach and digestive tracts.

I’ve heard that worms in the nose is sometimes caused by root canals, though.

ineedthetruth… have you been snorting your pork again?

If you’ve been picking at your nose, there’s a fair chance you’ve scratched the skin inside and the things you’re now picking out are some kind of scabs.

Undercooked pork has a reputation for taenia solium, the pork tapeworm.

When you ingest pork infected with taenia solium eggs, they can hatch (into oncospheres) and glom onto the intestine. From there they can migrate through the intestinal wall and get into the general circulation. The ones that are not cleared by the liver can settle in the brain and muscles and form cysts (cysticeric).

This is pretty common where taenia solium is common; here in the US I’ve seen neurcysticercosis many times, but usually in immigrants and often from Mexico and places south. Most commonly it’s just an incidental finding on a brain scan done for other reasons, but occasionally we’ll see seizures or obstruction of the fluid drainage system in the brain, and the like. I’m sure there must be serious cases, but thinking back on it, I’ve never personally seen anything but seizures and obstruction of the fourth ventricle. It’s usually just a gee whiz finding on a brain study.

I have no idea what white things in the nose might be related to eating pork.

Because THAT’S how they track you, man!

First they “require” your SSN, then, they implant RFID tracking worms in your nose.

Could it be some sebaceous discharge? But why would it be in the nose and white?

Here are some other people with the same issue, they may be more helpful than this board.

To those genuinely trying to help the OP, it might help to review his medical history first before you spend time on actual answers. I mean, nose worms are possible side effects of:
