I knew they would the whole time. I bet on them in the beginning of the season (as I’ve done every year since I was a little girl (and, BOY was that a hard time in the 80’s :D)).
And talk about ideal - while I would, obviously, prefer the Yanks to win the Series, either way New York wins!
The only problem is my Dad and my SO are Met fans - if the Mets take the series I’ll never hear the end of it.
Oh, who am I kidding, of course the Yankees are going to win
Yeah! Woohoo! Now, tell, me, when was the last time there was a subway series? I’m 30, and I think there hasn’t been one in my lifetime till now. Am I right?
Nice cap hehehehe
No, seriously, maybe you guys lost in the long run - but you gave us one hell of a time. You put up a good fight. After I finished running around my house screaming and jumping and scaring the heck out of the cat, I really felt bad for them, the cameras scanned the dugout and they all looked so sad.

That being the case, I expect I’ll ignore the whole thing, on the grounds that I don’t care which New York team wins. Six of one, half-dozen of the other.
Baseball is now officially dead. The teams that can spend the most money are going to keep winning. I had a little hope that this post season may stave off the inevitable as Atlanta lost early . But alas, no. The Mariners were the last hope for baseball, being the team that gave up Randy Johnson, and Jr. in the last few years while making good sound financial moves. But now that their gone, I just can’t see it ever changing, since the union isn’t going to ever allow a salary cap in baseball. Every championship from now on will be from the New York teams and L.A. and the teams owned by rich egotistical bastards like Turner and Huizenga(I know he sold his team by the way). Oh god please let Hockey continue to be interesting.

I hear ya, Satan. I moved five years ago, and I sure wish I was going to be up there next week. I’ve already got people saving newspapers for me, even though I’m the only Yankee fan in the family.
I know most people don’t give a crap about a NY Series, but this really is almost like a Civil War.
